Ok. So, I'm ended up being part of a 33 day challenge, so I started the Jillian Michaels 30ds a little early ;-). For accountability, I am here to share my measurements. And don't worry, I took before pictures this morning so hopefully I can do awesome before/after pictures after.
Heaviest weight: 237
Start MFP weight: 222.2
Current weight: 211.6
Height: 5'11
Waist: 38
Hips: 49
Bust: 42
Under bust: 37
Neck: 13
Arm: 14
Thigh: 26
Calf: 18
I did tonights work out using 3lb weights. It was hard enough that way, i think I'll wait a bit before I bump them up to fives. My muscles are shaking ;-)
I also ran a mile and a half this morning and lemme tell you, Jillian was harder!!!0 -

Level 1 Day 2 done along with a 2.5 mile walk. Today I had to modify all of the pushups. My arms & shoulders are SO sore! !! Legs are sore too but not as bad as the first time I did it. I think that is because I have been walking 2 to 3 miles per day.
Here are my starting #'s. Took them Sunday. My daughter took pictures but they are all blurry. Might have her re-do tonight although I don't know how to post them anyway! !!
SW: 132.75
Waist: 30.75
Hips: 36.75
Thighs: 21.75
Upper Arm 11.5
Calves: 15
Ankle: 8.5
Keep in mind I am doing my own measuring so I try my best to measure in the same spot each time but.......
Also wanted to say do not be discouraged if you gain weight @ first. Your muscles will hold water repairing themselves (think of your painful muscles!!!!!) Just keep going all the way and measure, measure, measure. You will not be disappointed! !!
Drink lots of water & stretch. A lot! !! More than Jillian @ the end, that won't cut it!0 -
I will be doing day 2 of the 30 day shred tonight. Does anyone have any insight as to what the results will be?
I did Insanity and lost 10lbs but did not calculate inches..which I should have.
Thanks.0 -
What is the main difference between the shred and the ripped videos?0

I'm in! I started yesterday so today was Level 1 Day 2. I'm sore, but not nearly as sore as I know I will be tomorrow.
Oh and when I punch I already imagine punching Jillian's face. :grumble: This does not bode well for the next 28 days. I may have to turn her down and turn my own music up.0 -
I'm in - starting 1st June - have tried 30DS before but didnt get past day 10 lol! feel a bit more motivated this time and I hope you all help to keep me that way!!!0
-
My sister keeps recommending it to me. I guess its really that great?!???0
-
I'm in! I started today as well. Stats:
Starting MFP weight - 234
Current weight - 205
Goal Weight - 160
Height - 5'9"
Waist - 41"
Hips - 46"
-Only have those measurements now because I just did them to get my BF% but I'll add the others later.
I leave for Mexico in 31 days so I wanted to finish before then. Hoping to lose 10-12 lbs! Please add me if you'd like0 -
Im so in! Just did Level 1 Day 1. Whoo, it was more intense than I anticipated! My legs are still shaky0
-
I have tho 30ds dvd, but have never tried it. I was just thinking about skipping out on classes at the gym this session (and save $$), so I guess I'm in... starting tomorrow0
-
Also I posted on another 30DS topic earlier. I have been doing P90X and can't commit to the 60+ minutes per day at this point. 20 minutes works much better. I found that I can do Level 1 and Level 2 with the same amount of difficulty. I plan on alternating Level 1 and 2 for the first 15 days and Level 2 and 3 for the last half. Hopefully that will keep me from becoming bored doing the same thing every day.
I fast-forwarded through level 3 yesterday and it terrifies me0 -

thanks for the links.
How do I do the levels? Do stage one until I feel like I can progress to stage 2? Or do I stay on each level until for a specified time?
Thanks.0 -
10 days per level to hit 30 days but not set in stone. If you need to hang at a level a little long or go up sooner just do what is right for you.
I generally do Mon- Fri with Sunday off & 10 days of each level0 -
I started today Level 1 Day 1 - man it killed me! There was so many times when I wanted to quit because I was hurting but I pushed all the way through! I took some before pics today and I think I had them in the back of my mind whilst doing it.
Ive not taken my measurements yet but i'll be sure to keep a record. Good luck to everyone else doing it.
P.S Wouldnt it be great to have a webcam version where everyone can do it together and encourage those that feel like giving. Certainly wouldn't be able to quit then!0 -
Yay! I'm in. I've been hanging around mfp for awhile now, but now I think I'm actually ready to start shredding.0

i'm in! i just finished my day three, and my mom is doing it with me and is on day two. my poor body is in complete shock!
so you guys are saying that you supplement additional exercise into your routine as well? i thought i would be off the hook with just the 30ds!0 -

Have to go find the still sealed DVD that I purchased last year! If I can find it, I'm in...0
-
Well seeing as I planned to start this on 1 June anyway I guess you can count me in. I will also be running 2 to 3 times a week and Zumba-ing hopefully once a week. Not quite sure if I'm going to try for the 30 days straight (with a break whilst I'm on a weekend break) or skip weekends or something - will see how much it hurts and then decide!0
-
Day 2 - Level One. Serious Jillian worked me hard today! HAHAHA. I liked it. I am watching level two while I read the message boards... I am amazed. She is wicked. It feels like highschool gym all over again.0
-
I'm in. I know that there is no way to make my goal weight by the of my 25th high school reunion in 2 months. I am hoping to loss some and tone up a little before then.0
-
Can I be in, too? This is my 2nd go-round with 30DS, and I'm planning on doing it 5 days a week for 5 weeks (so I'll be done the first week of July).0
-
Can guys do this? If you are a guy and have done it, did it help? I'll get the DVD if so…0
