I have this rule that I have to eat everything in my fridge/cabinets before I can go shopping. These are the things that I can't live without:

Pink lady apples, romaine lettuce, Oikos organic greek yogurt, GG Bran crispbread crackers, F-Factor cereal and bars, Fiber Gourmet pasta, Tazo Zen green tea, organic frozen fruit, olives, pecorino romano cheese, lemons. I need rehab for my lemon addiction.

I tend to be one of those "last meal" type of people so I just started portioning out Pop chips and Kind bars (only half per snack) and trying to eat those when I need a salty/sweet snack.

I've started eating lentils just this year, and I love them, especially French green lentils. :)

Lentils may help boost both your fiber and protein content. (And they are easy to prepare.)

Some of the staples always on my list are:

    Skim milk
    eggs
    bananas
watermelon/strawberries (or whatever is in season)
    bell peppers
    celery
    chicken breast - boneless/skinless
    peanut butter
    Breyer's Natural Vanilla ice cream

I know the last item will raise eyebrows. I'm not going to kid myself and say I will never eat ice cream again. I am learning portion control. AND, I make allowances during the day if I want to have ice cream in the evening.

    no raised eye brows here...yum!

    I second that yum!
