Why do you want to be skinnier than someone who's underweight?
I mean I'd like him to gain a little more before I'm thinner than he is. It's nice to be smaller than males, especially when you're so much shorter than them. So, I'm trying to get him to gain weight at the same time I'm losing weight. I'd still like to have a smaller waist than 27" though, but I'd like to weigh less than him when he's more healthy. It's ridiculous how it's even DIFFICULT for me to get down to 123lbs and he just IS. It's kind of crazy to think of. But I did calculations for him, and he eats maybe 1000-1200 calories a day, and maybe 1500 if I force-feed him sweets or bier. XD Which, I know, aren't as nice, but he has a sweet tooth and I use that to my advantage. >_> Plus, EK starts tomorrow, so he'll probably want to eat more since he's sitting and just watching a match.
He isn't active either, being a programmar and sitting all day. So, I thought if I got him to train, he would get more hungry. He's a lazy MF.0 -
I think as long as he doesn't want to do it, nothing is going to happen. You can't make someone care
I feel for you though. I've been in relationships where I wished my SO would sort themselves out a bit as I could see them eating more and getting bigger and exercising less.
Kind of the opposite thing, but the same non the less.0 -

Yeah, that was the problem with my last bf. haha But it is hard when you care more about someone's health than they do. Which usually indicates something going on in their head or how they feel. So, I think he's just a little stressed right now, although I don't think he has too much to be stressed about and he doesn't really show it. But he's always been thin, so I don't think he's really stressed. His sisters are also very tiny, wearing 34EU sizes although they can probably fit in 32EU really -.- And they're pretty tall, around 5'10" I would guess. So unfair... ha So, it shows in his family, he probably also has a fast metabolism.0 -
On the positive side, you can share clothes0

My boyfriend and I made this same deal at the end of last year. Neither of us started but when I finally did he didn't start. He's 5'11" and fluctuates between 140-145, I'm 5'2" and started at 145 and at one point was 154.
When I lost my first 10 pounds I mentioned that I was keeping up with my end of the deal, he said he would start. Now I'm down another 6 pounds and he still hasn't started gaining weight or even working out.
It doesn't bother me too much I'm just happy I weigh less than him again.0 -

At least I get something out of it, he lost so he has to run through a fountain in Mons(I'll pick a busy day for it.) wearing a tutu and screaming 'I'm a faerie, I'm a faerie!!'0 -

HAHA I LOVE IT!! I should've made a bet like this0 -
I'd love to have a 27" waist. To me at this point that seems so tiny. And no, women are not always supposed to be smaller than their men. If he's admittedly underweight, don't make that your goal. You have to be what is good for YOUR body. My boyfriend is built smaller than I am. I'm 6 inches shorter than he is. His hands are small and his build is too though he has a thick neck.0

Aw, I feel your pain. My husband and I started the get-fit routine together. He isn't smaller than me, but he is just a few pounds over my starting weight at this point. It is a little depressing to think that a fit man 5" taller than me weighs about the same as I did, and that I was convincing myself at the time that I wasn't that out of shape.0
-
I don't understand. You're surprised that an underweight person is thinner than you? Are you striving to be underweight too?0
-
Thank God my boyfriend isn't one of those really skinny guys that don't ever gain weight ;x!0
-
Wellllll is he also small where it actually matters???0
-
Elizabeth- I'm just surprised his waist is the same. Even if a guy is underweight and tall, his waist is usually bigger, and his waist WAS bigger a few weeks ago but he actually lost 2 kg during that time.
Unfortunately, I'm kind of attracted to the thin ones, for some reason. But I LOVE to feel tiny. One of the guys I was with- 1,97m(6'5") tall and 91kg(200lbs) and mostly muscle...I felt like the tiniest, cutest person in the world! And I wouldn't even mind if he wanted to pick me up. Now, I'm afraid of my bf picking me up and hurting himself. -_-
But I don't guys too big, really, otherwise it's like they'd gain weight easily later or...something, I dunno what it is. Muscle is nice, but I like thinner w/ muscle.0 -
he's also really busy with his work lately and mostly only eats 4 pieces of bread and dinner a day...So he NEEDS to train in order to gain weight
I hate to be a stickler but he might want to read into this. If he's in a calorie defacit then he wont build muscle... if he's an ectomorph then he's going to need to eat a crap load more, my cousin had to eat 1k over his normal allowance for months. Anyway, my point was training isn't going to help if he's not eating.
Yeah, I realise that, but he just says he's busy at this point and isn't concerned about weight or his body right now.
I have no idea about your boyfriend's schedule or anything like that, but I have a similar situation with mine (I currently only weigh about 7lbs less than him though there was a time when we were the same. I have never told him this as he is much taller than me!). He does want to gain weight and for a while every evening I made him a big tub of pasta with a little olive oil, tuna and sweetcorn all mixed in with lots of pepper for flavour. This meant that when he would be too busy to bother with going to get food he would just have a few mouthfuls of that and then carry on. Perhaps you could try something like that with him?
By the way, I am very envious of your 27" waist! Mine is currently 30" and I would love to get rid of 3 more....0 -

Yeah, maybe I should feed him tons of carbs at night for dinner. I usually make dinner very healthy(and more asian as I specialise in asian cooking) and he's a lot more used to euro eating, of course, which is carbs carbs carbs sauce, red meat. XD And I'm not a fan of saucy pasta or something(though I love rice) so I'll try something like that just for him.
I had a 30" waist about 7kg ago. So, that's..5lbs per inch. So, I would find out how much weight you lose to lose an inch and have celebrations when you get down an inch, then it doesn't seem SO far away. Also, weight-lifting. But the smaller you get, the slower it comes off. I haven't been a 26" waist since...well, 2 years ago right after a breakup and I got depressed and lost weight really fast for a couple months. But before that, I don't even remember when. I can't WAIT to get to 26"...hopefully I can! ><0 -

LOL so then whats the problem again?
I hear its wayyy hard to make someone gain weight when they don't keep it on easily. He'd probably have to eat 1000 extra calories and work out hard.
Personally, I wouldn't know. I never had trouble getting fat if I wanted lol.0 -
YES my husband is the same height as I am and was usually 135, and psyched that he's up to 140. I can fit in a couple of his pants. Hopefully all soon!0

what a horrible problem to have {sarcasm} lol.0
