I'm pretty excited - 2 mornings in a row I've weighed in at 139.5! Looks like I've made my November 1st goal - let's see if I can drop it to 139 flat for the actual Nov 1st weigh in! (must not get lax just because I've made one goal!)0

I have been outbidded 3 times on 3 different Biggest Loser Wii on ebay , Ms Cheap just trying to save a couple of dollars, I just can't go over the price I can get it from the stores. Guess I'm going to have to either buy in the store or order it. Really wanted to be working out with it by now :brokenheart
Sorry just had to fuss for a minute.0 -
I had to laugh at my boyfriend because he told me the other day he thinks Jillian (as in Michaels) is a B****. I asked why he thought that and he said that she tried to kill him during his attempt at 30 Day Shred and he felt her comments about 400 lb. people being able to do the jumping jacks was uncalled for. He thinks it's the hardest workout he's ever done and he's a construction worker!! I think it's hilarious that I don't think the Level 1 that he tried is that hard. Too funny, so I had to share.
I believe I had the exact same sentiment towards her last night when she said she had 400 lb people who could do jumping jacks as I was struggling to finish 30 seconds of them. But it does motivate me to actually be able to do every set without feeling like I'm about to die. :bigsmile:0 -
Rain, rain, go away! I'm ready to build an ark over here. :grumble:
I actually went to the gym for the first time in about 2 weeks this morning. I work out at home at night, and have let my morning workouts slide. I feel so gooooood today... I should stop skipping that workout. It's just hard to consume another 400 calories (not that long ago it wouldn't have been an issue... ) on days that I work out twice
Anyway, Happy Thursday! Make it a good one.0 -

I don't have a hard time consuming the extra calories....it's making sure they are the right calories that sucks....
Morning everyone...
Good day yesterday. 50 calories under my goal. Did my weightlifting and intervals on the elliptical.
Started today strong with a 30 min swim and 25 minute jog (C25K W7D2).
Have a great day everyone. Stay strong for the weigh in....

I have to admit that when things are going well, I get addicted to my scale. That being said, I stepped on yet again this morning and was down another half pound. This means two pounds gone this week already. Even so, I'd have to lose another four to be at my Halloween goal. But, I've made it past the plateau and am having an easier time staying within my calories.
I've found I absolutely love the Walk Away the Pounds videos by Leslie Sansone, especially Walk & Kick, which incorporates kickboxing moves. The workouts are short and such low impact that I feel like I didn't have to work, even though my HRM says I'm in my fat-burn zone and burning over 300 calories in 30 minutes. Woohoo, it couldn't get much better! I'll probably go buy a few more of her DVDs this weekend.
Happy exercising!

Having a rough day today. Stress at work. A coworkers wife died 2 nights ago unknown cause possibly H1N1 and im feeling blah! The Dr that I work with brought in Halloween candy bars and not the fun size ones and I inhaled it. And drug sales reps brought in chocolate cake make them stop!!!!
I am working out tonight!!0 -

If you are having trouble eating the extra 400 dont do it or dont do them all. Personally, I try to not use the extra calories earned by working out unless I really feel hungry. Have about 1400 allotted for the day and that seems to be plenty. Break it down into 5-6 small meals a day. Course last night after doing the shred I had to have a snack, I felt like my gut was eating my liver :laugh:0 -
I may have to rent a rowboat to get home today... all the roads are flooded. That would burn some extra calories, though, right?
I'm half a pound away from my Nov 1 goal. I'm excited
Today is pretty much going to be a rest day for me... couldn't get to the gym this morning due to the flooded roads and I think hubby and I are going to have a movie night tonight. Then tomorrow I'll be back to letting Jillian Michaels whip me into shape. :laugh:0 -
Woo Hoo ... finally Friday :flowerforyou:
two more days until weigh in!!
So I miss calculated TOM, it's next week. I haven't gained any or loss any this week so that must be good? I have noticed the pants are not as "snug", so maybe it's inches right now. I'm still on my goal for the 1st, just hope the next two days my body doesn't decide to go crazy.
I have been making a lot of soup lately, I find that if I have the soup first that it fills me up and I don't CRAVE so much for dinner. Working for me right now.
I have been walking on the treadmill and working out on the Wii Fit, but I been wanting more so I broke down and bought the Biggest Loser Wii yesterday, couldn't wait any longer and was tired of being outbidded. OMG - I loved it, it about kicked my booty. Just that extra push I need right now.
Hope everyone has a wonderful day. Still be strong,
silvertears - throwing you some paddles your way. We've been like that for about two months now.0 -
Went close to 400 calories over my allotment today. I know exactly why too... I didn't fill up enough for a breakfast type deal - had a late lunch and a later dinner - and no snacking between... without the frequent tidbits of food to munch on, I was absolutely voracious at dinner... so.. lesson learned - I need to eat frequently throughout the day - skipping snacks = total calorie gorge...0

Good morning!
Looks like Halloween is out to get us. My coworker brought in bagels and cream cheese from Bruegger's today. I KNOW I should have gone with a half bagel, but I devoured a whole one anyway. That means I HAVE to workout tonight to stay within my calories for dinner. Looks like I'll have to tell the boyfriend to workout with me or we can't go out for dinner!
No more weight lost this morning, but still, that's two pounds for the week. I've got to be good tonight so I don't blow the weigh-in tomorrow morning!!
Good luck everyone and get your exercise in today!

Good morning everyone.
Heather - Don't you love it when people do that? Earlier this week, someone brought halloween cookies in. I had two. Last night my wife baked cookies and left them out on the counter this morning, I swear she does it on purpose. I was able to resist and got out the door without eating any.
Silvertears - I know the feeling. We had a short break in the rain yesterday and back at it again today. Unfortunately I think it is going to turn to snow sometime next week. Oh well.
Have a great day everyone.

Good Afternoon My Fellow Challengers!!
So sorry I didn't post yesterday my day was HECTIC!!!!!! I was drained by the end of the day but I did manage to log my calories! I am excited that everyone was active on the thread congrats to everyone on all the good things!! For all those having a bad day...remember today does not mean tomorrow too so don't feel discouraged!!!
So Sunday is the big weigh in YAY!!!! I think I will make my goal so I am excited! Knowing that I will have to answer to the scale in the AM will keep me in line Saturday night when I go out! I love certain types of candy and I PRAYING that my daughter does not get the kinds I like when she Trick or Treats!!!! I can only avoid the candy for so long...so I am hoping she doesn't get that much of it...EEEEKKK...LOL!
Just so everyone is aware SelkiGhost is going to be collecting all the data after the weigh in and do one big post with results to see where we are all at. So if you would like to post your progress here on sunday or Monday and then Selki can put it together in her free time and we can post hopefully Tuesday or Wednesday. Actually, would you prefer every send you a message with their info Selki???0 -
Rain, rain, go away!!
I, too, am getting tired of the rain. I'm hoping for a break in the weather for tomorrow...the kids of the world deserve good Trick-or-Treating and I need to see my horse!!
Good luck with weigh in on Sunday...I "see" you then!
Heather0 -
Actually, would you prefer every send you a message with their info Selki???
Yes please! It will be much easier to compile all the information if I have it messaged to me (that way I'm not digging through posts and getting confused on which ones are posted as an official check in and which are the regular postings) :-)
So there we go - everyone send me your check-ins. I'm about 12 hours ahead of the states, so when my Sunday starts, it's still saturday for most others... as such - I'll compile everything I have Mid-Monday my time - which would be closer to sunday/monday midnight crossover stateside time - which gives stateside folks the chance to weigh in on Sunday and send me the results - if that's ok with everyone? Or I could post it Monday night my time, Monday morning stateside time? Or Tuesday morning my time - Monday evening statside time? Just let me know what will work best for everyone :-)0 -
Today's the day! Hope everyone did well :flowerforyou:
The kids racked up on candy last night, SOOOO much temptation. I have been so good and not sneaked one piece!
Can't wait for everyone's results! :happy:0 -
Hello People!!
I just wanted to drop in and say that I had a great Halloween! So great in fact that I spent the night over a friends house...and she doesn't have a scale. I am going to have to weigh in 2morrow AM. I only like to weigh in right after I wake up!! Sorry if this throws anyone off!! I hope everyone had a great Halloween!!
I had a few beers for the first time in a while but I am sure I daned them right off!! Or at least I hope so!:drinker:0 -
Missed my mark by a pound. That's okay though, I've been working my behind off (no pun) to lose this weight. My goal for Nov. 1st was 135, I weigh 136. I'm still proud of myself
But technically I started off at 143 three weeks ago, lost a few pounds before joing MFP. Therefor all in total in three weeks I've lost 7 pounds.0 -

I won't get to weight in until Monday morning, but it will be pretty early... about 5:45am Central time.0 -
Morning everyone. I weighed in at 239.6 OH YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!! Down 12 pounds for October. Down 42 pounds from my heaviest weight. I am so happy.
OK I'm done gloating. Just wanted to check-in quick. I'm off to the Packer VIking game. I will check in later tonight or tomorrow.

Looks like a lot of us are on the same page with weighing in today. I worked a 17hr shift last night and had to do a 8hr turn around and be back here by 3pm :grumble: So I had just enough time after getting up to shower throw my face on and plan & pack my food for day!! Did very well working that long, with the exception of not getting a workout in which totally bummed me out. I had planned to walk around cubicles when we werent busy, but that didnt happen everytime I start a walk a fight would break out at a local bar so I just gave up
Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!!! and will check in tomorrow :drinker:0 -
Congrats Rob! Great job0
-
Congrats, Rob! That's an amazing accomplishment.
I'm down 3 lbs. for the week, which is a huge plus. I'm so happy to be past the plateau. I can officially say I'm at my lightest weight in two years, which is also great.
I hope everyone had a great Halloween. I went as Peg Bundy and had a great time, but maybe drank a little too much!
Can't wait to see the official results.

I really need to concentrate better on the weekends... My Monday morning weigh ins are becoming very frustrating. :grumble: I only lost 3 lbs for October (the last half anyway). But I will hit the 10 lbs for November. I'm going to put forth extra effort to make sure I'm drinking my water and tracking my calories and working out.0
