geez...and i thought i`d done well hitting 30,000 :ohwell: ...Thats bloody amazing..:bigsmile:0 -
I actually started doing this same program for work on 6/4! So I missed the first few days and just joined here. Here are the numbers since then. I usually get around 5000 on my normal day. This does not include my cardio at the gym.
I'd love to hear tips and tricks on how others get more steps in during the day. I have a desk job and a long commute and have a hard time getting steps on those days. I do take several breaks at work to walk around the building and do a 2 mile loop at lunch if the weather is good.

:flowerforyou: I count all my steps. I put my pedometer in my pocket when I get dressed in the morning to walk the dogs and keep it with me all day until bedtime........I record my exercise based on the calorie count from my heart rate monitor.

Welcome!
I put my step counter on first thing in the morning and take it off just before I go to bed. The only time I take it off is when I am biking. To add steps I do things like parking a bit firther away, going to the restroom on another floor and marching or jogging while waiting for something in the microwave or brushing my teeth. I also find I no longer combine trips - I will go get the trash bin, come back and then walk down the driveway again to get the mail.0 -
Count me in I walk but don't have a clue as to how many steps I take and my son has challenged me to walk the 'West Highland Way' with him, 95miles so I need to get a lot of walking practice and start drinking lots of water.:drinker:
To count your steps, I have found the inexpensive step coutners at Walmart work fine.0 -
