I take a fiber supplement as well. Good luck!0

Try prunes, they certainly work for me!!0

don;t use a laxative- just get mild stool softener- will be much easier, and no terrible side effects0

Two thoughts:
1) I don't think you are drinking enough water, and that will mess you up
2) I don't know what you are doing for exercise, but a good workout will help move things along. Just about every time I run, it's followed by a good emptying of the bowels.0 -
It doesn't look like you're really eating many vegetables lots of carbs and meat. I am 95% vegetarian and poop like a rockstar.
For lunch, I usually have an enormous salad with all sorts of stuff thrown in: broccoli, mushrooms, asparagus, tomato, cuke, avocado, whatever there is. It is important to get that roughage.0 -
Fiber supplements help, as well. And even a powder like Benefiber or something similar. You can get one that is tasteless and add it to anything. I put it in our morning protein shakes, most meals we eat, even the morning coffee. No taste, and it helps quite a bit for many things.0

I can not see your fiber intake on your diary but I would recoment more fiber also what I could see the most water you drink (at least this week) has been about 4 cups and at most times 2 cups unless you dont log everything. I suggest atleast 6 or 8 and then some if possible. I have the same problem if I dont drink atleast 6 cups of water a day. sounds like a lot but just carry 3 water bottles and you are set!0

I was having the same troubles, I cut out grains and sugar and within 3 days everything is back to normal. I pretty much only eat fruit, veggies and proteins now and the difference is astounding. I'm still getting the necessary carbs from the odd potato, some dairy and fruit.0

Fiber One has some great tasting fiber bars. Honestly you don't even know you're eating something that's good for you!0

Make sure you're drinking enough water/fluids and rather than a laxative try a fibre supplement (Metamucil or another psyllium based one should help & they also help lower serum cholestrol)0

I found taking magnesium works great for times like these. And as others have said, make sure you're getting enough water! Your body uses a lot of water to, um, keep traffic moving along smoothly...0

When I have this problem I drink Triple Leaf Tea - Super Slimming Tea
It gets everything moving again. You can get it at Safeway or health food stores.0 -
Don't know if it's been suggested yet but there are breads out that have more fiber in them, also fiber one makes great tasting cereal, yogurt, bars, muffins, even brownies and they are packed with fiber but not the cardboard taste. There are also fiber supplements that you can mix into drinks and they (supposedly) don't change the texture or taste of your drink, or even fiber pills. Make sure you get enough water.
ETA: Chai and flax seeds can really help out too! Put some in a drink or sprinkled over something and have at it. That should get you moving again0 -
I had the same thing a while ago and went to the Doctor. Take Benefiber supplement (available at a drugstore or grocery store) and LOTS of water. It takes time, but will go away.
Now I'm very conscious of my fiber intake...Avocado is awesome, and use double fiber breads. I also put high fiber cereal in my protein shakes.0 -
bump for later0
-
try psyllium fiber.. 2 teaspoons a day, it'll rip anything not anchored down right out!0
-
probiotics have helped me stay regular0
-
Stool softeners, twice a day, every day. forever. You can buy bottles of them cheap at Sams Club or Costco.0
-
Smooth Moves tea is an herbal tea that helps get things moving without having to take a laxative.0
-
Make sure you are drinking enough water.... going into warmer weather now and your body needs more...0

I can only speak for myself, if I go very low fat I get bunged up, no way around it. So, if you look at my diary you'll lots of olive oil. Drink enough water, eat fruit and veg, have some olive oil drizzled over your salad, simplez *squeaks*0

Drink more water and eat mre fiber. In the meantime, take a laxative. It is not healthy to be constipated...0
-
