Oh woops! I figured I was the very last one on the overnight oats train.

All you do is throw everything in a container, mix it up, and stick in the fridge. I ate mine cold this morning, but I suppose you could heat it...you don't need to though if it sits overnight :) So delicious!!

I just stumbled across this recently although I haven't tried this yet , But what a great idea.!

    Slow Cooker Oats

    1 c. Steel cut Oats
    3 1/2 c. Water
    1 c. Apple ( peeled & chopped)
    1/2 c. Raisins
    2 Tbl. Butter
    2 Tbl. Brown Sugar
    1 Tbl. Cimmamon ( ground)
    1 tsp. Vanilla

    Serves 6
    Calories 208
Place all ingredients in crock pot except sugar. Stir... gradually add sugar until dissolved.Cover, set at low and allow to cook 6-7 hours ( for firmer oats) 8 hours ( for softer texture)

You can look up recipe at Allrecipes.com for the Nutritional info.

i made some today using skinnytaste.com, except i had to do some substitutions (rolled oats instead of instant, frozen fruit instead of bananas, etc) it was really great!

    main ingredients
    1/4cp rolled oats
    1/2 cup almond milks
    1/2 tbl chia seeds
(i added 1 tsp of raw sugar)
anything else you'd like to add: fruit, nuts, etc

refrigerate before you go to bed and it's ready the next day!

if i do overnight oatmeal (which i tried for the first time last night) i use almond milk (water if i'm cooking them in the morning)...i haven't even thought about Greek yogurt. There was enough liquid in the yogurt for the oats?
