    My husband and I did a vow renewal for our 25th year. It was at Disney. My dress was the most beautiful item of clothing I'd ever seen in my life and I felt like a princess in it.


    Wow! That is the strangest thing. I'm not sure why it didn't post. I took the code right from where the photo resides on photobucket and changed the image coding to lower case. Any ideas?

    I had limited choices because I did not want strapless (since I know strapless does NOT look good on me) but I found this one on clearance at David's Bridal and LOVED it! :love:

    It had a train that I detached for the reception

    You have to change the IMG to lower case. I found out the hard way...

    Wish I could help....but I gave my wedding album to my DD after my divorce...there are photos of their relatives in it that are no longer alive so I figured its a part of their family history. I still have the dress in storage, though. I wonder if its still in decent shape after 25 years. Come to think of it....after 25 years you might not care to see it. :laugh:

    Good luck with your dress shopping.....very exciting!

    ETA - Pick out the dress that YOU really like. As much as I liked my dress it wasnt my first choice. When I tried it all, all my bridesmaids said, "THATS THE ONE!!", so I stopped looking. I should have gone with what I really wanted.

    My advice is to try loads on - all styles even ones you think you won't like.

    This!! I had a list of all the things my dress HAD to be, and all the things that were not ok for me. Yep, you guessed it, my dress turned out to be the polar opposite of what I wanted, and I loved it. If I have time, I'll post a picture of it later.

    Wow! I just realized that I don't have any good pictures of me & the full dress! I love wedding dresses, so this is my favorite thread today! :laugh:

    When I got married, I was 5'5" and about 225 lbs. (I don't know for sure because I was avoiding the scale like the plague!)

    For all the photobucket images that won't post, you need to change the IMG that are in the brackets blah blah blah to lower case img

    I loved the beading on my dress, not too much. And a simple veil. this was the third dress I tried on and I LOVED IT!

    I knew this was my dress the moment I laid eyes on it. Of the hundreds of dresses I'd seen this was just the one. I got it from Alfred Angelo.. I still love this dress.
