I gotta say that I would love to look like you in your before pic! What a great body!0

Her point was that lifting heavy doesnt make you bullky.0

It is unreal to me...some of these comments. It seems like there is never a "right" before and after, you're either too fat, or too thin, eating too much fat, not eating enough fat, etc. And seriously people, stop hiding behind the words "we're just worried about your health". I seriously doubt that. I could be wrong, I am wrong an awful lot..but I suspect that telling this girl that she looks sickly/anorexic/too thin is just as harmful to her self esteem as telling me I am a super fatty is to me. One wrong word to someone can put them off their path in a matter of minutes.
If you're pissed off at me right now, look inside, because you know that you have had someone react overly negative to something you were excited about, and you know it sucked balls. Of course, everyone has a right to their own opinion, but if it is SO negative, why say that to her on an open forum? Gentle questioning is much different than out and out painful comments. If you TRULY are concerned about her health, why not message her? I just don't understand, and it makes me really, really sad.
In my opinion, you look like you put in some really GREAT work, and if you are happy with yourself, that really is ALL that matters.
No need to bash me, I won't be coming back to this post. I think I've lost enough faith in humanity and basic compassion for one day.0 -

I agree
Oops I feel bad now, but guess people are like me & prefer honesty. The "black" photos, you look curvy, womanly & may I say downright sexy. In the "whites" you look too thin, jmo.
It isn't what is aesthetically pleasing to others though, so great job on the life changes & going after your goals. Well Done

You look womanly, feminine, or whatever it is in both photos. But your b4 picture is my goal! great work, I was thinking this morning durring my walk that I need to start lifting.0

I think the original point of the thread is proven.....lifting won't make you bulky.....i think with a few bulk cycles you would look great.....by stripping away the fat you do look pretty small.....far from anorexic though. IMHO keep it up....don't be afraid to eat at a slight surplus and gain some muscle mass though. I think you would be happy with the results.0

Yup.0 -
You look feminine! You look great, you look tighter. I'd be intimidate to gawk in person! :-P great work0

You look great,

don't listen to all the negative nancy's.
You were hot before, you're hot now.
Screw what everyone else thinks. This is about you.
Great Job!!0 -
Me too....almost looks anorexic
OMG what a thing to say, have you actually seen an anorexic body?
She looks great.0 -
I think you looked better before. You're way too thin. Not trying to offend. Sorry.0

You're right, people are being cruel, there's just no need for it.0 -
I think you look stunning in both.I think the reason people are saying you look too thin on the after pics may be because your skin is lightet. Get a tan and I thin you would have some different opinions. That's my opinion, but great job and in my view, you are Hot either pics.Keep up the great work and dedication!!!0

All the pics on the left look much better........Oh chill out people, we're just giving our opinion's, that's what she wanted right?? Should I lie?? She lost all her boobs and looks soooo much better and healthy in the before pics........but hey, do what u want right? Pretty ironic, this happened to me too, now I'm in the process of gaining back a few lbs, didn't like how thin I got.....I upped my calories and cut back on wkn out so we shall see......0

Agreed. I think now you look too thin and ALMOST sickly. Before, you were nearly perfect, in my honest opinion.
However, I also applaud your hard work, and at the end of the day it comes down to how YOU see yourself and how YOU feel about yourself. So long as you're happy and healthy, nothing else matters.

Honestly, i really can't tell the difference between the two pics. But you look good either way!0

I'm pretty sure the girl in the white is far more awesome.
Being slim by not eating too much = okay.
Being fit by busting your *kitten* = impressive.
And I also think the pics in white look much better, as an aside. Women don't 'need' to be soft. It's not 1940 any more. OP has a curvy shape, strong legs and arms - that's hot.0 -
I don't see how anybody is being "cruel" or rude. Well except for the person who compared her to an anorexic, that was just ignorant.
People are simply giving their honest opinion, and in my opinion they are doing it in a very kind manner.
Not everyone is going to barf rainbows of happiness and sunshine out of their mouths.
I personally think she looked better in the before pictures. Does that mean I think she is ugly, wrong, or otherwise unattractive? No. It simply means that by MY taste and standards, she looked better before.
Doesn't mean it's true or that everyone will agree.
I don't think it makes me cruel though.0 -

Ditto, sorry. I couldn't either. I think you look great in both.0 -
Wow people are nasty!!!! You look great and with a few bulk cycle you could be a fitness model. I enjoy lifting heavy very much also.
I don't like the after pic either, but i think you said it best, she needs a bulk cycle.
Of course, the pics will be gone after bit since MFP staff get all worked up over underwear in pictures, since we all had to be 18 to get in, perhaps best said by Farnsworth in Futurama "Fifty-three years old? Ohhh, now I'll need a fake ID to rent ultraporn..."0 -
I think you look great in both set of pics. I was thinking of starting heavy lifting and you have inspired me - I would be happy to achieve similar results.0
-
I think you were hot in the before pics. The after pic...... toned and hot! Cheers to you for your hard work! :drinker:0
-
you looked fine before??? I think you need to eat more :O0
-
You look good!0
-
I don't think anyone was trying to be nasty.
Honestly, I don't think you look unhealthy -- but if you lost even 3 pounds, I probably would think that. I think when people see somebody on the line between looking lean and fit and looking sick they don't want to be too encouraging because the underlying worry is "What if this person has anorexia and tell them they look great!".
But, the point was that lifting heavy doesn't bulk you up -- not if people like how she looks. So there you go. Point made.0
