I've tended to make excuses in the past so now, I just say, " Seriously dude, NO excuses. You're not gonna puss out this time, no being "too tired" or "hungry" or "insert any other excuse". " I've really just learned to tell myself, No, you WILL do it.
so just get it done. and then the rest of your day is AMAZING0 -
Sweat is fat crying!!!
I LOVE THIS. Bahahahaha!
That's my favorite one! That's how i get myself to pedal up all those loooong hills when i'm training. YAY!0 -
This too shall pass. I also remind myself (and my husband) we didn't put it all on at once so we can't take it all off at once.0

I don't stop when i'm tired, I stop when i'm finished!0

"I've got this."
But, that's kind of out of context. I play seriously hardcore head games with myself, to make myself go farther/harder/etc. The "oh Jesus, it's only 5 minutes. Anyone can do 5 minutes," or "The lady next to you is 20 years older than you and going twice your speed. You're gonna let her show you up?" kinda things are what I've in reference to, and when it gets toward the end of that point is when it's down to "I've got this"... and then I start the games all over again.0 -

I have my workout list on shuffle, and often when I am really struggling and want to quit, My ipod seems to know how to motivate me by playing:

My mantra is "Press on regardless!"
When I was little my grandma would say this to me as her mantra when things weren't going her way. It is from the following quote!
“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful people with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan "press on" has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race”
That is all we can do...somedays are better then others...some days we make it to the gym and stick to our diet but no matter what you have to press on!0 -
A girl after my own heart!Oh, and if I do this, I can have wine when I'm done.0

"Nobody believes your excuses except for you."0
-
My mantra is song words "its a long way there, its a long way to where I'm going..." just because its easy to think "well I've done enough, not looking too bad now - but actually still a way to go to my goal
I usually end up singing it to myself when I get a bit soft on myself!0 -
Just Eat Real Food.0

Whenever I need motivation, I just start mentally rattling off three or four traits I like about myself (ie "I'm smart. I'm funny. I make things happen."). It's unrelated to the workout itself, but it reminds me that I am good enough to keep going and push through it. I also like to tell myself things like "you're doing awesome!"
Not only does it help me feel like I have the innate capacity to do whatever it is that I need to do, but it also forces me to remind myself that there is more to me than someone who wants to get fit, and that makes me feel a lot more confident.0
