I hear myself say "Uggg this sucks" or "this is hard". Now I hear a little voice respond "So is being fat".

He said your body wasn't date-able. Was. Not. Date-able.

Strong girls keep going. Strong girls are good enough. Strong girls aren't date-able...they're downright f*ckable. B*tch.

    hahahaha that's a good one

    Best. One. Ever.
I have my workout list on shuffle, and often when I am really struggling and want to quit, My ipod seems to know how to motivate me by playing:

Michael Jackson.... "Dont stop till you get enough"

    Adding this to my playlist!!

    Food is fuel

I also like what one of my spinning instructors said during a class and remind myself of it when I am at the gym - nobody said it was going to be easy

I didn't read all of the previous posts so I'm not sure if someone has said this yet...

Tell myself to stop being lazy and get up or outside to do something active. I'm thinking about joining a gym so I'm currently doing the 14 day trial period.

Also think about how I looked and felt when I weighed less (although half of that time was before I got Chronic Fatigue Syndrome).

You can feel SORE tomorrow or you can feel SORRY tomorrow. You CHOOSE.

I actually hung this up in front of my TV

Hey guys, I'm a 'mantra' kind of girl - you know, those few words you say when the going gets tough to get you through it.
Things like "nothing tastes as good as skinny feels" and sayings like that.
I'm looking for a mantra that 'fits' my weight loss beliefs.
    What do you use?

    thanks!
    "I like myself UNCONDITIONALLY!"

I say this outloud daily and even have it posted on my bathroom mirror.

LOL I swear, it's what keeps me pushing myself when I would rather not. I'm convinced Jillian can reach through the TV and kick my *kitten* if I don't try to keep up!

I've recently found that praying a bit helps.... Thanking the Lord for His blessings on me to be out running helps me along when I feel tired or like quitting.

    For exercise:
"OMG just stop wasting time whining and do it!"

    For food:
"Do you really think splurging again so soon is going to keep you healthy??"

re: food - I tell myself "you can't eat like every day is Christmas"....."don't celebrate with food"......"don't cope with food"....."PUT THE COOKIE DOWN"....."every meal counts"....."STOP NIBBLING"

re:excercise: "you've run this before, you can get through it"...when I hit 3 miles/30 minutes "you're in deficit mode now..keep going"

Fun thread, btw - I've enjoyed seeing everyone's mantra!
