people are AWFUL at estimating portions, so yes, i count.
i have a gram scale from, um...previous...needs, but i will be using it to weigh foods now.
haha.0 -
It would be easier to just weigh out a portion. More accurate too.0
-
I definitely count them out based on what the package says is a serving size. Otherwise, I tend to underestimate so I don't feel guily about eating "just one more!" lol.0

Maybe someone has allready said it, but weigh the chips instead of counting them. Your numbers will be more reliable that way.
Or just not weigh them at all, just eat a small amount every now and then.0 -
Of course. Otherwise I'll just keep noshing.0

Weighing is a better solution, I think... since chips are often different sizes.0
-
Yes I do that with chips, almonds, grapes, crackers...everything!0
-
I count anything that gives me a number amount for a serving size. And I get mad if someone tries to steal one because then I have to get up and replace it!0
-
Nope, I can't be good and put the bag back so I ONLY buy the small bags when I'm really craving them, then I can eat the whole bag lol.0
-
I weigh them instead. Sometimes you get more!0
-
I do that! The day I buy a bag of chips I'll make portion bags so I never have too much0
-
One thing I always seem to be counting are my almonds0
-
I have a food scale. I actually seem to get MORE chips in that 1oz than it told me I could, so it's a win.0
-
Oh yes, I definitely count my chips. It is all about portion control.0
-
Its the only way, because otherwise I'll just keep digging until I hit the bottom of the bag! lol portion control!0
-
When I do indulge in chips I count them and weigh them, since weighing is more accurate due to chips differing in size .0
-
Haha! I just finished counting out some for a snack!0
-
I count every single thing...=)0
-
I do this with chips, mini rice cakes, everything I eat. No mindless munching for me anymore0

I weigh my snacks servings to make sure I am getting the the correct portion size with a small digital kitchen scale. (ie, nuts, chinese noodles, dried fruit, etc). I do count my mini rice cakes (13-15 as the package states), crackers, etc. This way I dont overindulge.0
