    I'm back for july

    goals swim - all classes plus 5 extra pool workouts and one open water swim
    bike 112- will be harder without my 40 mile bike ride this month
    run 26.2 .... just missed last month with 25.5

    So far this week to start July:

    Swim: 0 (Booooo!)
    Run: 0 (Booooo!)
    Bike: 70 miles


    Planning to run/walk tomorrow morning! It has been over 100 degrees everyday for the last 2 weeks here in Indiana! It's ridiculous. I have to get out super early otherwise it's just miserable right now.

    Anyone else struggling with the heat?

    "Minor" setback for my challenge, my seatpost broke in half, with a piece left stuck inside the frame. And since it's an old bike (8 years), and that seatpost hadn't move in 6 years, it's pretty much welded there now :(

    Bike replacement will arrive on the 18th or so, I doubt I'll have time to make up for the lost time to get to 500km :(

    Next month! Run and swim though, it's still on!

    I just registered for my first triathlon, a sprint, on October 7th. My goals for July are to bike 14 to 15 miles on the days I do not work, run 30 minutes 6x a week, swim laps 2x a week, and strength train 3x a week. If you are also training for your first tri, feel free to friend me with a note about it. I'm always p for suggestions on training, as i hav never done a tri.

    Master if the seat post isn't to deep you can take a metal cutting blade and cut a slit in the seat post down inside and then you should be able to use some kind of punch to knock it further in or you can try to use the punch to make it smaller diameter and then pull it out with some stork pliers.
