Any tips to cut down on how salty it is? I made this last week and it tasted good but then you got a huge salt taste at the end that almost made it inedible

I'm going to try just making shredded chicken in the crock pot and putting the sauce on after to get a similar meal.

So I made this tonight, after it was done I shredded up the chicken with a fork, put it on whole wheat sandwich rolls, and topped it with some blue cheese. It was DELISH, and probably the easiest thing I've ever made. The only thing I changed was I used 2 (5 oz) jars of Tabasco buffalo sauce instead of Franks. I will definitely be making this again!

I make 'buffalo chicken cheese dip' and LOVE it...

6 cans of white chunk chicken (12.5 oz cans)
1 container of light sour cream (16 oz container)
1 bag of Mexican four cheese shredded cheese (8 oz package)
½ bottle of Frank’s Red Hot Wings - Buffalo sauce (1/2 of 23oz bottle, they make smaller bottles that you could use a full bottle of)

makes a pretty good size crockpot of dip and its awesome

    Frank’s Buffalo Chicken

    Ingredients:

    4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 bottle of Frank’s Hot Sauce (I used buffalo wing flavor)

1 packet Hidden Valley Ranch dry mix

Put chicken breasts in the bottom of the crock pot. Sprinkle the dry ranch mix on the chicken breasts. Pour the entire bottle of hot sauce over the chicken. Cover and cook on high for 4 hours or low on 6 hours. Shred the chicken up like you would for barbecue. Enjoy every bite!

Frank's Hot Sauce has 0 calories and the Ranch Seasoning is 80 calories for a small packet. The only thing you would need to calculate is your chicken. Very low calorie count!

You could make Pita's and add some lettuce and blue cheese sprinkles or even make a Buffalo chciken pizzza. I love to just eat it by itself.

    This sounds sooo amazing!

I just found a similar recipe @ skinnytaste.com but it doesn't use the Ranch mix. Good idea and sounds awesome! And much better than getting the Tyson buffalo wings or something...i can almost taste the additives in the boneless wings.
