I eat when i get depressed. other people around me start lousing weight, and they exercise all the time. i cant, all the exercises just leave me in too much pain in my back. walking hurts my hips, sit ups hurt my back. the only thing i can do is swim, but no place open at the time i have.0

I WAS fat because my family taught me not to leave food on a plate.
Now I eat in smaller portions and with smaller plates
I also became too comfortable in my relationships and let myself go.

I always struggled with my weight, but the real problems started when I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia. I found living in pain difficult to cope with and got anxiety attacks. I overcame that, but used food as an emotional crutch. I am an emotional eater, and I binge.
That's how it happened, I was in difficult situations but I decided to overeat and not exercise. I can't change the fact I have an incurable disease, but I can change how I deal with it. So I'm starting to try to sort my life out.0 -

....I ate unhealthy and didn't exercise.
^ This ^ Plus I worked at a 5 Star resort with amazing chefs and got free food. Then got pregnant and took my husband too literally when he said looks don't matter. It gave me an excuse to be lazy!0 -
I am fat because... I turned to food to comfort myself emotionally0
-
I used to over eat, I never exercised0

I've continually made poor decisions regarding diet and exercise.0

I quit volleyball in high school and that cut my exercise down a ton. 3 hours of practice 3 days a week for club and 2 hours a day 6 days a week for high school... once that was all gone I still ate like I was used to eating and didn't have the workouts I was used to having and the weight kept pouring on! Now I hate cooking for one so it makes it really hard to get motivated to make my own foods.0

i used my son as an excuse to not go outside... he was young and couldn't go out where the bugs could get him

I like to eat junk! I would rather have cheetos anyday over a serving of fruit~ and I did for many many years (decades even) but no cheeto is going to taste as good as skinny will feel0

I eat whenever I have any emotion, instead of acknowledging and dealing with said emotion.
Then I also eat when I'm hungry.0 -
I'm fat because...
- Making a snack and watching a movie with the hubby was much easier than digging out my dance shoes and practicing for a while.
- There's so much good food out there!!
- Having a broken bike is an excellent reason not to ride.
- I love stuff deep fried and covered in cheese!0
