Well, I had a terrible weekend, and didn't lose, but I maintained. Not good at all.

    SW- 143.8
    CW- 143.8

That's exactly what I deserve for having such a bad weekend. :ohwell:

I'm a ding-dong and didn't even put the right numbers- thank you Susan for catching my stupid mistake.

    Should be:

    SW 153.4
    CW 153.4
    GW 148.4
Kellyn, don't be so hard on yourself! As far as numbers go, I think 143.8 sounds like a really nice number!

    Checking in - 3.2 lbs GONE!

    SW 168.2
    CW 165.0

Wow! You all are the greatest! :flowerforyou: I had been stuck between 168-169 since March. I was beyond frustrated. I love the support and inspiration I get here. My water intake has been so much better b/c of that challenge. I have been more motivated during my workouts too. Today I did 5 miles on the ellipitical. (it took an hour but I didn't quit)

My challenge suggestion is that we give 110% in our Monday workouts. Kind of like the last chance workout on "Biggest Loser", so that we can go to bed feeling like we've done our best. Then we don't have to cringe when its time to face the scale.
  • Oh man, All of you ladies have done such an amazing job! I don't know whats wrong with me.... I watch what I eat I am at 1200 Calories, I never go over on my fat intake. I exercise everyday, sweating my butt off! I have not been able to hold anything down but broth for the last two days. I still managed to gain:mad:

    SW 147
    CW 150.5:explode:

Other then being sick I fell great.

    Well done to everyone else!!!!!

Broth's pretty salty. I bet it's all water? I hope you feel better soon.:flowerforyou:
  • Last recorded weight: 229.2 lbs on 12/06/09

I hope to be at least 219 by January 5.

To get there I have been increasing my water intake, smaller portions of baked chicken, minimum on coffee and sweets, increasing my salad intake and trying to lower my stress. Go figure... I een tried Jay Johnson's boot camp. I was sore for two days. I will stick to walking and working out 3 days a week.

Good luck and great work to everyone !
  • I am unworthy ... horrible few days, just couldn't get "with it." Oh well, must hit RESET and start again.

I am UP 1.4 lbs to 251.2.

    Onward ...
  • yay I weighed myself this morning at 214.2 lbs down from last week's 216.8! But I know I could do better, I really need to switch to diet pop or just cut pop out altogether. If it's not in the house I do fine, but we had a party and my sister in law brought a 2 liter of Cherry Coke-which it's our tradition to always split. Well I didn't stop at the one glass I promised myself but hopefully this next week I'll be pop free. Hope everyone else is doing good!
  • ashaver, being sick can really play havoc with weigh-ins. Just keep working at it and it will come off when you feel better. Just make sure not to eat the entire fridge when you start feeling better - that's what I do and then gain!!!

I am proud to report a 1 pound weight loss. Yes, it should be more since I am very big, but you know, a pound is a pound. I had a food frenzy Friday night, so at this point, I'm taking my pound and running with it!

Hey ladies (I think we're all ladies here, right? )

Just wanted to let you know that I won't be participating the Fab Fours challenge anymore. I went to a specialist today (finally- been waiting over a month for this appointment) for my gluten issues, and in order for them to determine if I have Celiac's disease or a gluten intolerance, or something else, they want me to NOT eat a gluten free diet anymore for the next month so that they can do an endoscopy (the only way to tell for certain if I have Celaic's or not). In order to do the endoscopy I HAVE to eat some gluten. If I do have Celiac's (and they think there is a very good chance), it's a life long condition, so this may be the last month that I'm "allowed" to have pizza, pasta, bread, chicken parm, cookies, cake, brownies, my favorite cereal, etc. ever again :noway: So, I don't want to use it as an excuse to pig out, but I also have to "make hay while the sun shines" (to borrow my grandma's expression).

I belive that most, if not all, of you on here will understand where I'm coming from. Maybe some of you have or know someone who has Celiac's, or who is gluten-free and can truly understand the sacrifices that must be made:ohwell: . I would like to think that no one thinks I'm being ridiculous or an excuse-maker, but if that's the way you feel, then there is nothing I can do about it. I'm not a quitter- I have to do what I have to do.

I *hope* you all can understand. I'll still follow along with the thread, but I will not be making the usual sacrifices that I make when on my regular "diet". I wish you all the best... this is an AWESOME group and I'm sure you will all see a great deal of success. If there is another Fab Fours group after this one is over, PLEASE make sure I find it- if not, someone send me a private message! :flowerforyou:

    Kelynn,
Thanks so much for the heads up. I wish you only the best! I will be with you in spirit as you sort out the cause of your symptoms. I hope you feel better soon. Don't be ridiculous about quitting. We all understand. Please know that you're always welcome here, and we'll do our best to keep you informed of future threads. Take care and have a great Holiday Season. You get to celebrate!

Thank you Susan, you are SOOOO good with this!!!!
I went over on my cals AGAIN but I got in my challenge, worked out and drank my water! I think my wanting to eat ALL the time is because it is unbelievable cold here! Our area was the coldest in the NATION today with MINUS 31 degrees(some areas right by us were -34) and that was without windchill!!! It is suppose to get UP to 30 on Saturday but that will probably bring snow!!! That was nice you chose the Say No for tomorrow ! Now I MUST follow my own suggestion!!

verda - where in the world do you live? I shiver just reading your posts! LOL

Thanks, Susan - I LOVE the weekly planner!!!!! That helps me a lot because I oftentimes can't get on here until late at night. I am up for tomorrow's challenge - look out cookies, I am TURNING YOU DOWN!!!

    Great job! I love it!
  • The graph looks awesome!!! Thank you so much for that! I always have to go back and look through all the old posts to see what we are doing for the day, this makes things so much easier! Awesomeness!!

Okay I have to share this, I am so proud of myself. I actually managed to work out for 40 mins today and burned 350 calories!
With all the slacking I've been doing it has been really hard to get re-motivated so as long as I can keep this up I know I will reach my mini goal!

But tomorrow is my last final of the semester & I am getting back to the gym for SURE! I have been pretty good about what I'm eating though.

I LOVE the weekly planner!! So easy to find & great goals =) Thanks!

Hi Steph, best of luck to you on your last final tomorrow. It's hard to study when you're sick. Ugh! I hope you did well on your tests today.

Earlier this week we had a water challenge day, trying to drink our entire 64 ounces. It was difficult, but making it a challenge really helped me get back on track to drink my water every day. That's what makes these little challenges so great. I hope they help you, too. Feel free to post an idea!

Thanks so much for your nice comments on the challenge chart. It's pretty LOUD, so you can't miss it! Easier, too when it ends up on the top of a page. I admit that I went a little crazy with the graphics. If I get a little space, I usually fill it up!

Sunsama wins the Gold Medal Flour Award (bad name, I know, but I couldn't think of anything else that weighed ten pounds, sorry!) for arriving at a 10 pound marker! Woot!

Great job for all those that didn't lose, but still posted. :flowerforyou: We all know how hard that is.
  • Hello everyone! Sorry this is so late, I had finals today and forgot to weigh in. My initial weight was 191, Im now up to 191.5. Im not sure what the problem is but hopefully I can get some weight off before the end of the challenge. Ive been faithful to my calorie count, exercise, water intake and lowering my pop consumtion so I have no idea what the issue is but Ill keep up the good work and look forward to benefits soon! Plus the rest of my finals are due tomorrow so after that I will be more available to workout! I cant wait!

Great work on all those who lost and dont worry to all those who maintained or gained. We can all do this, it may just take some of us longer but we will stick it out till the end!

Good luck to everyone on their finals! I always hated that time of year, but at least it's almost over, yea? =)

Verda- where DO you live?? Just curious, so I know where I need to stay away from. I'm definitely more a summer girl, my immune system hates cold weather =P

GOOD LUCK to everyone to saying NO today!! I've already had to tell myself to step away from the fudge pan.. it was hard >.<

    Good Morning all!!!!!

So, I am still sore. Sitting down, hurts. Standing up, hurts. Being, hurts. I did though do my 100-200-200 this morning. My muscles are feeling that burn. I didn't even know I had abs under all this chub, but let me tell you, they are announcing thier existance painfully.

I know today is the "Just say No" Challenge, but I had a "Just say No" moment last night. Being a long night, my husband and I decided to go to Dennys for dinner. I did all the proper research regarding what was within my calorie range, etc. Ordered a Grilled Chicken Salad. I was excited. Low and Behold the waitress brings out a FRIED chicken salad.

I love chicken strips - from ANYWHERE! They are one of my preferred food. This looked SOOO good. I thought "How can I make this work for me?" I considered exercising like crazy when I get home at 11pm. My husband looked at me and said "Do you WANT to exercise at 11pm?" I said "No" and that was it. I gave the plate to the waitress and patiently waited for my grilled chicken salad!!

WOOT ME! That was a GREAT salad too!!

Kelynn - I am sad to see you in the position you are in, but you have to do what you have to do, you are lucky that your "have to do" involves pizza and favorite foods :) You definately wont loose friends here, and we will be here for you the whole way, regardless of the results. Glad you plan to stick with the thread even if you can't be as active as you'd like, I am sure we all look forward to keeping you here :) I will be praying for you!

Hello all. I know that I'm rather late, but I would love to join this group. I am all about setting many goals, and you guys seem to have a lot of fun. I am challenging myself with what I call 12 days of christmas--it consists of me drinking water only and exercising at least 30 minutes daily until Xmas, no cookies or candies (my favorites either). If I may join, should I wait until the new challenge starts in Jan, so I don't complicate things?
