Watching Neil Armstrong's "small step" with the whole family gathered around the one tv in the house
That was magic. I watched Neil's giant step at a camp ground in Ontario outdoors on TVs set up in an outdoor theatre for the purpose. I watched the TV and looked up to see the moon, expecting to be able to see the lander.0 -
I thought 28.8k dial up was screaming fast on the internet.

I remember when the internet consisted of just bulletin boards....there was no 28k....that was a pipe dream lol0 -

My parents would let my brother and I walk to the store to buy them cigarettes, she would give us some money for candy if we would do this for her. I was 9 and he was 4 and we walked about 2 miles alone to get smokes !! bahahaha0

This was the special night we got frozen pizza and sat in the living room instead of at the table with a huge meal like a family.

Back when.... schools were one room, and there were boys and girls outhouses....

I remember holding the tape cassette player up to the TV so I could record the the latest song off of Solid Gold. It was the only way you could get the music for free.
I loved Solid Gold.....that was the best!!!!!!1:noway: :laugh:0 -
Getting up to change the channels on the TV, and having to use pliers because the knob broke. LOL.
or a toothpick when the volume knob was going, in order to prop it in the right spot so you still got the sound, LOL0 -
