Watching Neil Armstrong's "small step" with the whole family gathered around the one tv in the house

That was magic. I watched Neil's giant step at a camp ground in Ontario outdoors on TVs set up in an outdoor theatre for the purpose. I watched the TV and looked up to see the moon, expecting to be able to see the lander.

I thought 28.8k dial up was screaming fast on the internet.

    Oh no...you're still young!

I remember when the internet consisted of just bulletin boards....there was no 28k....that was a pipe dream lol

I'd still have big hair if my daughters hadn't made me change lol

This was the special night we got frozen pizza and sat in the living room instead of at the table with a huge meal like a family.
Oh ya how about eating at the table everynight at the sametime like a family.

Back when.... schools were one room, and there were boys and girls outhouses....
a quarter would buy you a bottle of pop, bag of chips, AND a chocolate bar!
Coke machines had bottles of coke for seven cents....

I remember holding the tape cassette player up to the TV so I could record the the latest song off of Solid Gold. It was the only way you could get the music for free.

Getting up to change the channels on the TV, and having to use pliers because the knob broke. LOL.

or a toothpick when the volume knob was going, in order to prop it in the right spot so you still got the sound, LOL
