I LOVED the first book. Second... was ok, nowhere near as good as the first. The third was even worse, but ok.

I managed a total of five pages of the book before the appalling writing got to me.

    This was far better written.

Read them and loved them. Though I have to admit by about the middle of book three I was craving more of a plot. But overall I really enjoyed them.

I just have one question............Where can I find my own personal Christian Grey?

I read the first book, it was really good. The 2nd book I'm more into the plot of what's happening though and the sex crap is getting old.

OP, I think that half the people that replied to this thread did not read the review that you attached. Good lord, the books were horrible written and the review was freakin hilarious and right on. The word count at the end was the best.

    Thanks for posting!

I meant as it's the same thing basically over and over. Especially in the 2nd book.

I did not read it or do I have the desire to read it. But several of my friends did and I was the beneficiary of their enjoyment of the book. So it get a thumbs up from me (as long as I never have to read it)

    Hilarious!!

It sucked. I'm embarrassed that I read it. The "oh my"s made me want to stab my eye.

Read this review a while back. I haven't read the books because I was just hesitant, but now I'm certain I will never read them. No mommy porn for me!

That review is pretty hilarious. Although if anyone honestly read that book for a "good read" then they were kidding themselves. It's EROTICA, books in that genre aren't intended to intellectually stimulate...

I read all three and enjoyed them for what they were!

Thanks for sharing the review, I particularly enjoyed her photo of her "inner goddess" :)

I have heard alot about this book and it seems people either really like it or think it is poorly written and DONT like it at all....

I read all three and loved my Mommy porn. My husband didn't mind the affect it had either. Of course, highly unrealistic, but I still was addicted to Christian....
  • reading the first one, and honestly I'm between grossed out and bored by it.

Halfway thru #3 and I hate it. I want to skip the sexy parts. Honestly, the link posted is EVERYTHING I've thought about the book summed up with hilarious gifs. I am only reading it now to say I did. And to spread the word of how craptastic the series is.
  • I am actually in the middle of reading it now. its a very hot, kinky little book. :)

Love that review!!! I was going to read the books, but then I downloaded the first chapter on my Kindle and couldn't get through it. I also read somewhere that she almost directly quotes Twilight a few times in the book. I guess people are reading this because Stephanie Meyer didn't give us a proper sex scene in Breaking Dawn!

Besides from the description of Christian Grey's personality...I'm quite sure I've already had a real life version of him, and that ended in a restraining order....not so romantic
