Desperate to lose 40 pounds
Hi, put on 40 pounds since covid and looking to get back to previous weight. All the weight is around the stomach. Main issue I have is had back surgery 10 years ago so restricted a little bit. Also hoping to run 1/2 marathon in September. Looking for help and advice as well as general encouragement.

Do I need to eat more calories when I do strength training?
I’ve recently started adding strength training to my workout routine. I do 3 X 1 hour strength training sessions a week plus 3 X 30 minute cardio sessions per week.

To lose weight, can you eat back the calories you burned during exercise?
I want to lose 10 lbs and get toned by summer. My current calorie deficit is about 1450 calories per day. Is it ok to eat my calories back that I burned during exercise or is better to just stick to my 1450?
