I usually workout in late afternoon or before bed. But if I workout in the morning I am so hungry throughout the day and end up having no calories by dinner or after dinner. Advice?

Is it okay to lift 5 days in a row?
I do a 4 day upper/lower split and sometimes take a rest day in the middle, or do all 4 in a row. Since I'm doing my last lift of the week tomorrow and need to get next week's in lifts in before I leave for vaca, I will be lifting 5 days in a row. Is that fine? I'd be resting for days after.

Lifting weights 4 times a week and playing Tennis 1-2 times a week. 50 lbs goal.
First time using the community side of this app. The goal last year was to lose 80 lbs. I lost 35 lbs. This year the goal is to lose 50 lbs. I have tried so many diets in the past and what I've found to really work for me is OMAD or 2MAD. I lost that 35 lbs in 3 months, from January to March 2022 and I just maintained the…

Starting strong
Hi everyone! Been a few years since I was on this site. Decided to join again bc I'm in a rut. Usually 3-5x weekly lifting at 5am. Last year or so can barely get in 1-2. Need some accountability to get my butt in the gym. I've lost a lot of what I gained before and want to get back there. Want to help? Add me! Then yell at…

Post open heart surgery lifting routine
I'm in my fifties and was seemingly healthy, but learned last year that I needed open heart surgery. Fast forward to nine months later. I feel normal again and am back to all my previous activities (snow skiing, playing pickleball, etc.), but I've lost a lot of muscle. I've never been much of a weight lifter, but have…

Do you enjoy certain excercises more than others?
For example, I love OVH press and curls but dread bench press lol. Or deadlifts over sqauts! I also look forward to specific days. I can't tell if it's motivation or the exercise itself.🤣

Best ways to deload?
I currently do a 4 day upper/lower split and wondering how to deload properly. Can I reduce my training days to 2 days, and do some walking or yoga added? Do those 2 lifting days need to be lighter than usual? Reps/sets or weight, or both? Do I have to follow percentages or just cut the weight down or do what feels light?

REACH ONE GOAL - 15 mins daily - 100 days. Start April 15.
100 days is enough time to see a real difference. Set ONE goal, spend 15 mins daily. Examples: - Buns of Steel. - Master the L-Sit. - Master the splits. - Abs or 6-pack. - Do your first chin-up. Or first 10 consecutive chin-ups. This doesn’t mean you’re not doing the rest of your fitness programme. It just means that…

How many exercises per session?
I've been doing this 4 day upper/lower split (see images), but some say you just need to go hard for 4 excercises? What do y'all think? If it's not broke don't fix it?

Hello from Charleston SC USA
Hello! I live on a little island just outside Charleston South Carolina, with my two retrievers and 3 fat and happy rescue cats. I am a litigation attorney with a corporate life as well as a multistate private practice, which is also integrated with a real estate brokerage, so life is pretty insane for me. I am also…

Dealing with weight gain
I’ve lost quite a bit of weight since I’ve started my journey but recently I’ve gained some back. I’ve been strength training so I try to blame some of it on muscle gains but due to some recent changes in my life I’ve been putting off my workouts. I want to get back to it. I would input every calorie almost obsessively…

Weight gain after depression
Hi everyone! I’m happy to be apart of a community. I’m looking for friends and accountability partners. I’m currently at 127 with a goal weight of 145. I was depressed and lost weight fast from loss of appetite and it’s been hard getting the weight back. I downloaded the app to track my calories but haven’t explored it as…

BCAA's - which brand is your favorite?
I'm looking for a brand of clean BCAA's. So many have unwanted, unnecessary fillers and looking to find something healthy and clean. Could you give me your best brand? Also wondering if it makes a difference that I'm a 50+ female ~ Thanks!

How much should I eat before morning lift?
I normally lift in the afternoon/evening but need to switch it for vacation. I've struggled with morning lifts before feeling weak. If I eat a 300 calorie breakfast, how long should I wait to lift? 1.5 hour? Do I need more or less? (I'm 101 lbs)

Intermittent Fasting and Working out
Hello all, I've recently restarted IF 16/8 and it has helped me get past a plateau with my weight loss/fitness. My fasting begins at 9PM and ends at 1PM to correspond with my work hours-ish. Problem is, I was going to the gym in the morning around 9AM, and I find that I am light-headed doing the workouts I was doing…

For all you lifters out there! Moved to tears!?!?
Confession: I am a highly sensitive person so this phenomenon may be unique to me or others like me so no judgment! ;) There are some moves that push me to my limit that move me to tears! It's not a bad feeling just more of an OMG I just pushed THAT hard and my body experiences the sensation of needing to cry. So far,…

IF(currently 20:4 mostly) and sporadic EF, with lower carbs, crossfit/lifting plus long distance wal
Hi all, I have been intermittent fasting for several years now, though in the last couple of years struggled with having shorter eating windows....so I did a lot of 2mad with a 6-7 hrs window. That said, I've recently fallen into a 20:4 pattern with some days of 2mad (without limiting time) to fit my life. I am training to…

Deloading tips?
I've been lifting seriously for about a year now taking breaks here n there. The week of Thanksgiving was my last "deload" where I did 2 workouts that week instead of 4. Since then missed 1 day for being sick. I'm making good progress with my 4 day upper/lower split. I don't know if I should take a breather or keep going…

Accountability buddies
I'm back. Again. Officially hit middle age, have about 18 lbs I want to lose, and really need to get back to lifting and running after falling out of the habit due to brain surgery. I'll be honest - I'm way more consistent when I'm regularly using MFP - and I'm way better about using MFP when I have feedback from others -…
