Haybales spreadshet
Sorry I am asking you about this again! My husband helped me be able to save the spreadsheet so that I can finally use it. According to it it says my Daily food goal is to eat 1400. My TDEE is 1943. 1943 -15% is 1652 and EM2Wl recommends a 10% cut, which would be 1749. I am eating at 1700 right now. I am just wondering if…

hasfit.com
My wife found this awesome exercise site to help with our goal to becoming more fit and healthy in our lifestyle in conjunction to our diet tracking we do on here at MFP. Since me and the wife both have back issues, I have issues with my right shoulder rotator cuff. We're currently on day 4 of the 30 day low impact…

Runners and EM2WL
Hi there, I have been spending several nights persuing these forums and have really been loving what I have been reading. It seems however that most if not all of those who have used and/or have found success with EM2WL do a lot of lifting and not much cardio. I am curious to hear from those (if any) who use this method…

body fat % test options
I want to get my body fat % tested and was just wondering what everyone's recommendations are for accuracy... Obviously things like BODPOD and Dexa scans are going to be most accurate, but I'm not super keen on spending that kind of money at the moment. I know digital scales are rubbish... How accurate are callipers or…

Need help breaking this pesky plateau.
I've been stuck for 7 weeks. Up and down the same 1-2lbs. I started TurboFire right when I hit it which seems strange to me since I thought changing up your workout routine helps break it. So I have not lost any weight since starting the program 7 weeks ago. I have tried to eat as close to 1900 calories as possible. (I'm…

Workout Routines
So I need to refocus again. What kind of routines do you all do? My goal is to gain muscle. Weight really doesn't bother me (I don't own a scale). I care about gaining definition and losing some inches. I feel like I'm in a rut so I need some guidance. I know what I want, but I'm not sure how to get there, exercise wise.…

need advice after getting RMR tested
Greetings, all -- I've been more of a lurker than anything else on this thread for the last three or four months, and I've learned a ton from everyone. so thanks ahead of time! Have been counting calories since July 2013, have lost 35 pounds while (hopefully) maintaining muscle by using first Power 90 and then kettlebells.…

TDEE deficit with heavy lifting
Does the optimal TDEE deficit depend on the type of exercise you are doing? I am mostly doing heavy lifting, and the worksheet suggests a 20% deficit, while when I was doing mostly HIIT workouts, it suggested a 10% deficit. My BMR is 1500 and the 20% deficit is suggesting 1640, is that ok? I don't want to eat away any…

Took a break from MFP for a couple months........
Hello again! I took a much needed break from MFP for a couple months. I found I was going crazy obsessing on the logging food and workouts and then when I had a week with no weight loss I would get discouraged. I started getting really stressed out. Had to take a step back and just eat normally for awhile and actually…

Eating 10% vs 15%
I have eaten at what believe is my TDEE since Nov and want to cut. I read in the handbook to begin with a 10% deficit first for 8 weeks and if you are not losing then add in the extra 5%. Can i just go right to 15%, it is not that much of a difference, does it really matter? I am trying to do this correctly. Thanks. Also I…

If I eat the calories I would at goal, I should lose, right?
I am doing some calorie cycling, some low days, some high days, but if I eat the number of calories weekly that I would at goal, I should lose with no problems, right? Its easier than taking my current weight, rerunning it thru the calculator every 5 lbs to determine what I should be eating "this week"" Opinions? TIA, Lisa

Having hard time reaching protein goal
I'm gluten and casein free for medical reasons and I'm having hard time reaching my protein goal. I have about 550 calories left for today and I need to get 67more grams to reach my goal of 135gr. Any tips? I may need to quit eggs too at some point to see if it's aggravating my autoimmune issues but I'm not there yet.

Anyone with hypothyroidism?
Hi! Newbie here. I created a post on the main weighloss board little while ago talking about my weight gain instead of loss despite being on a low calorie diet and doing cardio 5-6 times a week. Several people told me that I probably eat too much but weren't being honest with myself and several people said that I probably…

Question calculating my TDEE
I am unsure if I am "lightly" active or "moderately" active when trying to calculate my TDEE. I currently do a Jillian Michael's dvd 6 days a week that is 20-30 minutes (plus warm-up ad cool down, but the most activity is 20-30 minutes). These workouts are dumbbells and cardio. Otherwise I work a desk job 8:30-5:00. Would…

New here; new to eating more, not less
Hey all, I came across this program, ironically enough, while searching to see if I was justified in eating far fewer calories than a normal person because I am petite. I'd been successful losing weight in the past with calorie restriction, but it has just gotten harder and harder, and I keep having to get more and more…

208 carbs?!
I can eat 208 carbs and lose weight? I'm 5'6 currently 145 pounds. I workout about 7 hours a week, cardio and strength training. The haybales spreadsheet gave me about 1800 calories per day, 208 carbs, 138 protein, and 51 grams of fat. Every other calculator has gave me about 160 carbs or less.

Just starting...kinda! Help!
I just started this new mindset of eating more because I really felt that the low cal fad was ridiculous (however I always seemed to fall into it!) I had my mind set on sticking to 1800-2000 calories once the new year hit, wasn't going to stress about any initial weight gain because I just ultimately expected it to happen…

Week 2 of Reset Finished, Preliminary Results, Thoughts?
Week 2 of Reset Finished, Preliminary Results, Need to Change Something? I've just finished week 2 of trying to reset metabolism by eating at TDEE (I'm going for 8 weeks as my body could probably use some consistency as I have a bad habit of being all over the place). I don't expect to have a whole lot of results already,…

TDEE and Activity Level
I know this has been asked a million times before, and I've even read the threads! But I'm having a hard time dialing in my activity level and TDEE really. I also can't figure out how to set my goals in MFP. I got the spreadsheet from one thread and tried fiddling around with a few things, but it seems I have stopped…
