Helppppp
Hello I'm 521Diva on MFP, Kisha. I've been having some challenges. I tried pretracking my food daily and burning more by working out. I gained 6 pounds. I now have my BMR 1597 TDEE 2754 RMR 1581 A site said I should eat 1702 calories with a deficit of 1057. Confused about this deficit word, looked it up and still confused.…

Oh, those darned bars...
Well, I WAS doing very well with eating to about 2200 cals/dayish, felt like I was slowly losing... and then I ordered 24 bars from six pack nutrition shack. I actually ate five bars in one day because they were so freaking delicious. I am putting myself on bar probation now... but I'm terrified to even look at the scale…

HELP! Reset question
Hi All, I'm 3 weeks into a reset, eating 1800. I'm 5'3" about 108 lbs, and about 19% BF. With moderate activity, Scooby gives me 1900 and with heavy activity 2100. But I also have a FitBit, and my average burn over the past month has been 1800, so I decided to use that as my TDEE. I have been lifting heavy 3 days a week,…

Something Happened!
After not losing weight for awhile, something finally happened! I was eating around 1200 calories (for about a year), and burning off around 800-900 calories a day through exercise alone. I was so hungry and weak, I just didn't realize it! I went to see a RD and she told me to start eating more (among other things). I…

MTV!
Measuring Tape Victory! I'm totally shocked. Started reset last week along with NROLFW. The no cardio part is really hard, but I am seeing the benefits of following the directions almost to the letter. I am also trying to stick to my macros as much as possible. P.S. - My scale is hidden somewhere in my house, lol.…

Doing a Metabolism Reset. WISH ME LUCK!
I think I am going to do a TDEE metabolism reset for about the next 4-6 weeks. I've upped my calories and such, but I'm still feeling deprived every couple of days. I guess trying to go the short-cut way and not fully doing the whole EM2WL thing wasn't the best idea. Welp, here's to the next month or so. Wish me luck!

So I went to a few different websites figured out my TDEE on those sites and came up with these numbers (rounded to make the math easier): BMR 1500 Sedentary/ desk job 1800 Moderate 2200 Strenuous 2500 Anyway, I…

Worse than useless advice
I lost weight with MFP while I was training for a Spartan race. After the race was over, I slacked off on my exercise and, I ate a bunch of junk and gained my weight back. I knew winter was coming, my outdoor exercise was over and so I decided to join a gym. I joined a gym at the spa I go to. I like it because it's not…

"The New Rules of Lifting for Women"anyone doing/done it
I just downloaded the book, and read through it and skimmed through the workout sections. Can anyone tell me more about it? If they are currently doing it, and if so how far along? How it's going, how are you feeling, etc? If you've already completed it as well, any tips and advice. I would greatly appreciate it... Thanks!

Need some help, please
I completely agree with the approach put forth by this group but I am having trouble getting the numbers straight based on my current experience. Here are my stats: 5'7" 189 lbs age 48 I've been doing bar bell weight training since April 2011 and am happy with my progress. I've been consistently adding weight (with a few…

Scared
I'm honestly terrified of eating more. I usually eat about 1050 - 1100 calories perday. I know that isn't enought and Ive hit a plateau, but it scares me to eat more. Do any of you have tips to get me over this fear? What kinds of foods are you eating?

How do you distribute your calories?
Just curious about what others do. I am finding myself with a shetload of calories at the end of the day. Like, right now, i still have to eat 1000, because i burned over 700 in exercise, and i'm like ok wow really. This happens often. Today i should have had a better breakfast but I was in a hurry to get out the door, but…

Feeling discouraged... but loving eating the food!
I've been doing this for about a week now... trying to get everything under control. I'm learning along the process. At first I was just counting calories but not worrying about my macros but today I ate so much and had a lot less sodium intake than I normally do. Vegetables are AWESOME. haha. Anyway. My macros are 35,35,…

NROL4W Question
Okay...so I am very confused of how the workouts are to be done. I'm just starting out in Stage 1 and I don't know if I'm supposed to do Workout A or Workout B or both? Under each exercise I think the workout 1, 2, 3, 4, etc. represents the weeks. I really feel stupid, I have re-read the explanations too many times…

My Body Is Fat...how about yours?
Holy cow! I just did a body fat calculator (http://www.gymgoal.com/dtool_fat.html) that someone on another post suggested and it said: 54% (U.S. Navy Circumference Method #1 - men and women) 35.7 (rounding to 36)% (U.S. Navy Circumference Method #2 - women only) 36% (book by Covert Bailey "Fit or Fat") 42% Average Yikes!…

Women, I have a question..
Okay so I've googled this question and read all different types of answers but that was others asking with their own stories. So I'll ask with my own. About 9-10months ago I lost my period to eating only 800-1000 calories a day... I found EM2WL a few months or so ago and it changed my life. I didn't really start doing what…

Got my Fitbit average for about 2 months. Cut from that?
Hello :) I've tried EM2WL in the past, but gave up after not seeing any results on the scale. I'm sure I didn't give it enough time. I'm an 'instant gratification' kind of gal, unfortunately. Well, I went back to 1360 net calories for a month and lost my energy, gained inches in places I know can't be from muscle gain,…

Checking in :)

Background - been eating healthier for…

Ok Iam having a really huge brain fart right now. I just got my fitbit in the mail and so Iam trying to figure this all out. On the dashboard on the Fitbit site it says that my goal is to burn 2184 calories today. How did they come up with that number? how does one figure out what their TDEE is with a fitbit? Remember Im…
