Yoga stuff - twists, pigeon, butterfly, cat/cow. Anything that focuses on lower back and hips. :)

My SI joint started acting up after a fall while running a couple of years ago - for a while there, it was pretty bad (i.e., lying in bed crying due to the pain - and I'm not a cry-er). Strengthening my core helped, also lots of regular hip and back stretching AND occasional chiropractic. It still pops all the time but if…

Oops - I was replying to the poster who said that Rolling Stone had never pulled stunts like this. See cover with Charles Manson. Wrong.

Thanks so much Sara - I think I too had that nagging feeling that it might have been "portion creep" along with the lack of accuracy in logging when eating out. I think aiming at 1400 for a while is a good idea...paying more attention in general is probably a good idea to nip some bad habits in the bud. Appreciate your…

Yes, always log everything. Nothing quantifiable/concrete on the flab...just tighter clothing and an increase in the bit of stuff that hangs over my waistband. :(

I actually agree with you. Call me a throwback, but I believe that we all have responsibilities in a relationship and many women look for any opportunity to neglect theirs. Many men do too, I grant that. Thus I am single. :)

I'm 43 and had a hysterectomy due to fibroids 3 years ago this month. Greatest thing EVER. My fibroids were very small but positioned so that I bled for 6 months straight and became anemic. So that was fun. My surgery was laproscopic, very easy, zero pain. I was tired for a couple weeks after but took naps and took it easy…

Y'all are awesome. Thank you! I can't wait to shop!

YES, Marshall's, TJ Maxx...I always forget about them. I need some "suck it all in" pants...which are usually expensive brands, so that might work for me if I can get the patience to dig through the racks. Sounds like a good holiday project...thank you!

No camel toe got my attention...must check Old Navy...love those prices!

I have a couple pairs of the C9 brand from Target, but...they are kind of thin and don't wear that well with frequent washings. Maybe my expectations are too high? LOL. Thanks girls!
-
Oh, cool, I did not realize they made workout stuff. I'll check it out!

I'm with some others that I think this sounds extremely wasteful. And not sustainable...do you go to these extremes when you eat out or eat with others? The toppings from FOUR slices onto ONE crust?...that sounds kind of gross. It's probably better to practice some portion control. Just my two cents.

Why are you exercising so much?

I'm a girl, and I did the NROL for men, and I don't think it's a big deal to NOT be sore, as long as you feel you are making progress and increasing the weight. Good luck!
-
I'm a chick doing NROL too. I started Fat Loss 1 a couple weeks ago, but have been kind of sidelined by a muscle strain in my hamstring. Got that worked out by my chiropractor today, so hopefully I'll be back on plan 100% very soon. Loving it so far...3 sets of 15 reps of 95lb deadlifts WEAR ME OUT. in a good way.

Sorry y'all, but...tats.

How old are you? Do you drink a lot of water? To me, it sounds like you could streamline your routine - you may be doing too much. All you really need is a gentle cleanser (like Cetaphil) at night followed by a moisturizer, then rinse in the morning. All that washing may be irritating your skin. Just an idea. :)

Please do not judge NROLFW from this girl's experience with it. She did WAY more cardio than the program recommends - she was really very selective about what aspects of the program she followed. Her diet is also not reflective of even the most general recommendations of the book. HUGE grain of salt needed here.

What helped for me was to roll a tennis ball or golf ball under my foot several times a day as a massage - feels so good and loosens up those tight tendons - anytime I was just sitting around. I was a runner, but I believe I got PF from wearing flat shoes too much - flat flip-flops, ballet flats. Completely flat shoes are…

Don't they say "you guys"?

Definitely make your own - it's so simple and bottled dressings are full of weird ingredients. I usually put garlic, salt, pepper, vinegar, honey, mustard, olive oil and whatever else isn't nailed down in a jar and shake it up. Done.

Me too! Were we at the same gym? ha!

I feel like when I started eating a lot more protein my hair started growing very fast. I try for 100g of protein per day since I lift weights. I heard hair is made of protein, so that actually makes sense...

5'4", 118, 1RM 155. Mixed grip, right facing out. Super jealous of all you heavy lifters...

Get the book The New Rules of Lifting for Women. It has a workout plan and all the info you need. It's the best!

I have the opposite experience. Just had to go buy bigger pants this weekend because my curvy butt and thighs no longer fit into the child-sized pants I wore when I was skinny and saggy. And that's a good thing. :) Cute top, btw.
-
Lisa, I'm so sorry for your loss.

I have it from time to time on my arms and thighs - including now. Ugh. The sun and exfoliation help, as does Am-Lactin lotion - it has a special acid in it that dissolves the bumps. Sadly, it's kind of hard to find.
