Im not a survivor but I have experienced the stress of waiting for results. I have had 4 lumps removed and I have one that is reoccuring. A good friend of mine is a survivor and I think that you are the strongest women I will ever know.

I have an elliptical and love it. I never liked treadmills (or running) the pounding on my joints was too much, there is less impact on the elliptical. I have been curious about the tread climbers.

Before the scale reflected any weight loss my clothes started getting loose and I was able to go down a pants size. I also think about the calories I eat, is what Im about to eat worth it, this is especially true after a good workout.

Edy's all natural fruit bars, strawberry and pinapple ones are 80 calories. I also like fresh frozen strawberrys blended with whip cream, sometimes I need to add a little splenda if the strawberry's are tart.

I plan my menus/meals ahead of time and enter it into the diary. This gives me a 'meal plan' several days in advance and helps me stay on track and helps with shopping too.

Try whipped cauliflower, it looks like mashed potatoes and taste pretty good. Basically you boil cauliflower drain it, puree it in a food processor (or mash it by hand) add a little fat free half n half and season it with salt, pepper, and garlic.

I agree with Janet, try not eating back all of your exercise calories. On the days i exercise I give my self a little leaway so i don't feel deprived but I don't eat back everything.

In short I say 'yes'. I do my best to meet my calorie count using healthy foods but on occasion I give in to cravings. I log whatever I eat and if possible that day workout a little longer to balance things out.

I use my elliptical while watching TV. Walking the dog counts, can you extend the time you walk or jog when you do? I thinks its your metabolism speeding up. You are using up a lot of calories and you need to replenish your body with healthy food. I eat every 3 or so hours snacking on nuts, yogurts, cheeses etc. in betweeen meals.

Yes I have noticed that my old 'favorites' arent as good as they used to be. I guess thats the differnce between being on a short term diet and making a lifestyle change. I have heard others say the same thing.
