  • My diary is also open. I've only been serious with it for about a week though so I don't have history for you to look at. I meal plan and make all my meals a head of time (at least 4-7 days in advance depending on how the food keeps), I log my food the day before and will adjust it on occasion if I have something extra…
  • Well, for the record. *I* like ideal shake. It works for me. She was asking for recommendations and so I gave mine. I've tried it. I would tell a friend to try it. In fact, I have and they've liked it too.
  • http://www.idealshape.com/meal-replacement-shakes/ check it out. Drink the shake.. a glass of water and feel full for 3 hours. and it works. I like it a lot. I prefer something simple like this in the am because I never have time to sit down and eat a meal and I'm just usually not THAT hungry to even want to.
  • I like Ideal Shake. It has a "hunger blocker". About $60 a container (with shipping) if you buy it one at a time but I bought the last one in a bulk of 4 and it came out to $42.50 ish a container (30 servings). I think the Vanilla is the best, chocolate next and I just don't care for the strawberry but I mix and match them…
  • If eating 3500 calories causes 1 lb to be gained then she would need to eat 3500 ABOVE maintenance because maintenance is what she burns in a day. So it would be 3500 plus 1640 to gain an entire lb.. At least that's how I'm seeing it.
  • She said 'as a woman' and 'as a man' meaning.. if you are a woman your calorie intake is 500 and if you are a man your calorie intake is 600.
  • Great Job. I love that you are smiling in both before and after pictures. Most people don't do that and I thinks that's great that you are!
  • I do the same thing. Sometimes I just can't stay out of the kitchen. Start with one thing at a time. Try drinking water if that's not a strong point to start then when you feel like you've accomplished drinking enough water try getting into a fun exercise routine that you think you can stick to and do that for a bit.. then…
  • I guess it really depends on the status of your belly.. if it's on the bouncy side like mine a tank top would seem more appropiate.
  • Maybe you're not eating enough. Try eating 1500 cals a day and see what happens. Make sure you're drinking enough water too.
  • You look great. What an improvement in only 2 months!
  • My kids like asparagus - but it wasn't easy. We have a rule that you have to try at least one bite of everything on the plate before you say no to it. If they don't eat anything on their plate then I save it for them. And if they say they're hungry later they can eat that. But that's another story. So I served asparagus…
  • Nutella... People ask me what I eat it with. I'm like "My fingers, duh!".
  • You won't have time to snack it seems so something hearty like a stew and some bread. Since I sit on graveyards I like cherry tomatos, grapes etc. Anything I can snack on because I usually eat because I'm bored. Not becasue I am hungry.
  • You also have to make sure that the bike is related to you and your height and weight. I would assume you can input them in. So it could be wrong and that's why there is such a high burn.
  • Exercising helps to tone your body. You can lose weight by just eating right however there will not be that toned look. You will have loose skin (some can be from major weight loss and some can be from not having a toned physique). Do what you can now. I think once you see the weight drop you might get motivated to…
  • I don't track anything that has no calories or spices. I never track them. Some spices can have 20 calories per serving but I usually only use them for dinner and if 20 calories is going to keep me from my weight loss then I have other problems.
  • My boyfriend has dropped weight before by drinking water instead of his regular Coke. It took him the same amount of time to drop 20lbs as it took me to drop 10.... Men just have it easier I guess :)
  • Eat something. You should have at least 1200 cals and if you've only had turkey meat and a hard boiled egg I doubt you've even reached 200. You need fuel.
  • We probably spend between $400-$500 a month for a family of 2 adults and 2 children ages 2 and 4 (the 2 and 4 year old eat ALOT) I actually just started keeping track of my receipts this month so we'll see a closer number (hopefully not higher) but that's my assumption. We shop at Costco, food maxx, trader joe's and whole…
  • Salpicion- recipe on Skinnytaste. Not really a fan of the Sprite Zero. I think next time I will just put water and a bit of stevia and let it sit overnight.
  • I don't have a usualy breakfast but protein really helps to fill me up. This morning I had a bowl of oatmeal (150 cals-I don't use the low fat type so you may be able to find something w/ less cals) and 3 egg whites (17 cals for each white) (I know you said you are sick of it but it's my go to breakfast as well!). Or I…
  • I'll have to look up the ingredients list.. If it has more than 3 ingredients I usually won't eat it. You can make ice cream at home with some frozen banans, a blender and some chocolate chips or nutella or whatever. I use nutella and it's like 200 cals.
  • I like Pita chips and hummus, bananas and peanut butter.
  • What I've been doing is going on pinterest and pinning all the styles that I find I like. My plan is when I am ready to go on my shopping spree (another 15lbs to go!!!!) I am going to look through all them and see any similarities (i.e. blue scarf, black boots etc) to create different outfits without spending a boatload of…
  • Did you call the chinese place and ask them how many oz their box was? That's what I would do. I can't really tell it's size from the picture.
  • Skinnytaste asian grilled chicken with french fries (homemade, skinnytaste recipe as well) and steamed veggies. Totally doesn't go together but I wanted the chicken and my daughter wanted french fries.
  • Ugh! Kirsten you guys make me want to try it so bad! But I can't give up peanut butter.. nope no way.. I LOVE peanut butter.. I'm starting to love it more than Nutella if you can believe that.. I could give up Nutella but no peanut butter LOL
  • I agree with the protein shakes. I probably wouldn't get my full allotment without them. I use skinnytaste.com for most of my recipes but google is a great resource.
  • Skinnytaste.. my diary is full of her recipes! LOVE HER!
