I agree!! Just looks cheesy....

I tried these while in the Marine Corps....some fellow Marines were taking them at the time for more energy when we PT'd twice a day. We didn't use it for weight loss, but simply just for energy....and they definitely worked. But that was when they had ephedra in them....they don't use that anymore in the new hydroxycut. I…

You look incredible!! Especially those quads!!

Incredible story! Way to beat the odds and show true drive and dedication...you overcame something and didn't let it defeat you. The story about your cousin coming to your mom in the dream was a blessing...stories like that are truly God's work.

Bad day or not...don't bring your personal stuff into the workplace. Bad days aren't an excuse for poor service or work performance...I know none of my bosses would ever take that as an excuse for slacking off or dropping the ball on something.
-
I have an FT7 also...it's always accurate and always under what MFP suggests. So definitely go with your HRM. I know it's a shock to see such a low calorie burn...but 676 calories for only 30 minutes is very high, you'd have to really be kicking that machine's butt! Like some other folks said, maybe you weren't working as…

I have to wash my hair everyday....sometimes twice a day. I can't skip a day and not wash or my hair looks really greasy and oily...not to mention, I don't feel completely clean when it looks that way. Dry shampoo wouldn't be useful either...seems like you'd just be moving around all that funk and sweat throughout your…

I'd opt for the wide. The extra wide would be too big, and if you're running or exercising in them...your foot may move around too much. I bought some running shoes recently that were a size bigger, thinking they were more comfortable than getting my actual size 6....but now I'm regretting it. They are too big for my foot…

225 lbs squats for a guy won't do much for muscle gains. How many reps are you doing? Try upping the weight...

Or to be on the safe side, if you don't have an HRM...I'd log just 300 calories for the 40 min session. I only burn between 300-340 each workout, and about 140 on cardio recovery day...I have a Polar HRM. I wish I could burn the crazy amount of calories some people burn!
-
I had a broken toe before going to Marine Corps bootcamp....and I managed to get through that just fine. So I think doing any type of cardio would be okay...

All this BMR, TDEE stuff confuses the heck out of me. I would love to say that maybe I should increase my calories from 1440 to 2500..but quite honestly, I don't know if I should. I'm doing Insanity 6x a week....which only burns 300-350 calories a session. So SHOULD I increase my calories? I'm so confused...I've plateaued…

This was my question....do you aim for a NET calorie goal of 1650, or is you calorie intake set at 1650 and on top of that, you eat back calories burned? Right now my daily goal is 1440, and I'm eating back most of my calories burned.
-
You've had some good results! I'm trying to get down to your starting weight of 147! Lol....I haven't measured again since day 1, I guess I'm too worried I won't see any results....even though I THINK I feel a difference in my clothes. I may measure at the end of recovery week and of course at the end of the program.
-
I've found the best way to measure is with a sports bra on....otherwise I wouldn't be able to accurately measure across my nipples, the girls are too big and not perky.
-
Are most of you waiting until you're completely fnished with Insanity to measure again? Or are you measuring every couple of weeks?

I'm 5'3 and 167....for cardio recovery I burn between 100-140. On other days, I burn between 300-360. I've never been able to hit 400 calories, and I use a Polar FT7. It's fairly new, only 6 months old. I hit at least 90% of my max HR so I know I'm pushing myself....but it would be nice to be able to reach 500-600 calories…
-
I have the same problem. I'm 5'3 and have broad shoulders and fat arms too....I never wear anything sleeveless. I'm hoping when I drop these last 25 lbs, that I'll feel confident enough to do so.
-
I'm hoping I get sore during recovery week like some of you....I haven't been sore since I started Insanity, which was kind of a bummer. I know soreness is a good way to judge a good workout....but I just love the feeling. :-)
-
Thanks girl! Definitely going to check this out. :-)
-
I hope this doesn't happen. I'm already only burning 300-400 each workout...and on cardio recovery and fit test days. only 150-200. For the second week...it was pretty much the same as the first, maybe a little less calorie burn. We'll see how the thrid week goes.

Chicharrones with scrambled eggs in a corn tortilla. :-)
-
It's so incredibly annoying when people say "haters gonna hate"...I just wanna slap them. And doritos with lime....
-
The egg on peanut butter actually sounds good. I don't like fried eggs...but I may try scrambled eggs. :-)
-
Mustard and french fries... Doritos with lots of lime squeezed on top... Eggs and A-1 sauce..

It's not so much that I struggle because of flexibility...but my quads seems to burn when I'm holding some of the stretches too long and I have to get up and rest. I don't know if maybe I'm not doing the stretch properly or what...
-
You'll be able to rest or go at your own pace on day 2. And after week 1, you will notice your endurance improve...so don't worry about making it through the workouts. As with any intense workout, the more you do it....the better you get at it.

Just completed my second Fit Test, there was definite improvement: Apr 9 Apr 23 Switch Kicks: 68 110 Power Jacks: 41 53 Power Knees: 57 88 Power Jumps: 14 25 Globe Jumps: 6 13 Suicide Jumps: 10 12 Push-Up Jacks: 17 25 Low Plank Obilques: 31 65 So even though there hasn't been any weight loss, I'm still happy about my…

Starting week 3 tomorrow! Excited to see my progress on the fit test tomorrow.

Won't do anything for weight loss, unless you are cutting for something where you need to be down to a certain weight in a few days. It's water weight, like everyone stated above.
