Kashi Go Lean, has another cereal that is even higher in protein than that. I use it at home, but can't remember the name exactly. Just have to look at all of them. There is also a low fat milk called Mootopia that is super high in protein you might try if any of your grocers sell it. I buy it at HEB.

Mini goals are the way to go. If you think in terms of total weight loss, its more daunting, thats for sure and seems less attainable. We can do 8 pounds a month!

I think you are right, that you would be setting yourself up for failure. Nobody can be perfect all the time. I might take a few bites of something I shouldn't, but I don't eat the whole stinkin package anymore! We have to learn moderation and portion control. Perfection is not an option for me!

Awesome NSV! I have the same problem. I have to take my rings off when I wash the dishes, always afraid will lose them in the sink. Good to know about Wal Mart having sizers like that!

I was diagnosed years ago. According to my dr. when I was first diagnosed, I could be eating nothing but bread and water and wouldn't be able to lose weight. I am supposedly on a pretty high dose of Synthroid, but still have had problems with the weight loss, but I can tell in other areas if I miss my meds at all.

I make an omelet every morning that is very similar to this except without the bacon. It seems to me that the early schedule would be for those that work the day shift, and just adjust it to your schedule. If you work nights, then weigh at the beginning of your work day, and so forth.
