I have 2 cups every morning; each with a splenda and 2 Tbsp nondairy liquid creamer. totally worth it.

I appreciate all of the responses. I don't like getting out of bed at 5:00. But I feel great while I'm doing it. I like that its simple. I even lost my first toenail (ick). Guess that's telling. It's hard not to compare myself. Thanks again, all, and keep at it!!

So I have to admit-today, I so did! We ran with someone new today, and he kicked it up a notch. We were being polite but it was faster. On Wed, I logged 5.7 in60 minutes (absolutely had to leave and couldn't do the last .3 grrrr). Anyway, today was 6.0 withhold in 57 minutes. I broke 10! So yeah, today, I am thrilled.

I love my snack time, too. sometimes I'll just make a cup of decaf. even with the splenda and creamer, it's less than almost any food that I want. I want butter drenched popcorn, cheetos, stuff like that. My snacks are my treats at night--I won't be satisfied with yogurt. SO, the decaf followed by brushing helps alot.

I'm vain enough to want to look good, lazy enough that I don't want to fight that fight when age sets in, and smart enough to know that my kids are learning my habits. I want them to understand what a healthy balanced lifestyle is. Edited for typosGhAt

Thanks again! I'm super excited. The gals I'm going with are super fun. I ran a half with one of them in 2011, and were scheduled to run another half this year. The other two gals just worked up to 5K so this is the perfect fun venue. This will be a blast.

Chicken, chicken, chicken. I can't imagine trying to do this w/out poultry!! I buy lots of meat that is close to the sell by so that it's cheaper. I only buy for the week, and I use coupons. I only shop sales, and I buy the basic fruits unless something is on sale. We do a lot of salads b/c it helps stretch, and it is…

We're a family of 4 and averaging $100/week. There is a little "junk" but most of it is pretty healthy. Not much fish, though, since that's usually pretty pricey. Lots of chicken.

I like to add dill and mayo, and I eat it with celery. it's nice and crunchy, and the calories i've used in mayo are fine since there isn't anything in celery.

This is actually one of the reasons I make sure my kids see me work out. So they know it's healthy. And normal. I grew up with fried food, soda, and koolaid, and thanks to metabolism, I did NOT have a weight problem. I should have....I ate crap, hardly any veggies, no water. I do have junk in my house, and we all enjoy it…
