  • I bring my own snacks to the movie theater. Or I get my daughter the kids pack and just have a handful of hers :)
  • I've always been overweight! Before I had my 4 year old daughter I was around 217 pounds for a long time. I started going to curves and got down to 180 (I'm 5'8). Then I got pregnant and my highest weight was 270. I went down to 250 after delivery and stayed there, losing 20 pounds, putting it back on, losing 10, grainig…
  • I love it!! Ripped in 30 is great too, but Dependig on your fitness level, I'd start with 30 day shred!
  • Can't spot reduce, BUT! In order to lose belly fat you have to strengthen your core. If your back bothers you, you probably don't have a strong core. Planks are really good for this, as well as different types of crunches, supermans are good too (lay on belly, lift legs and arms, with both straight out, and bring down, up…
  • Definitely take pics!! My pictures have helped me so much. Sometimes the scale doesn't move, or it does but I still have bad days where I still feel 250 pounds, I look at my pictures and feel so much better!
  • I started here at 248 pounds and after 16 months, I'm 161. The only loose skin I have is on my stomach, and that is from being pregnant. My legs and arms are toned and tight. And I've always been somewhat overweight. I'm sure you won't have a problem! My stomach is in pretty bad shape, but it keeps getting better and I can…
  • True, but I lost that too! Haha
  • Mine are gone lol. It sucks but it's my own fault. If I hadn't let myself get so heavy, I wouldn't have had to lose them. I wear two bras while working out to try to hold them in place. Also, I just found an awesome bra from la senza, I have some cleavage that I haven't seen for a while! Lol. I've came to deal with it. I…
  • Haha wow... I usually don't post on these boards to try to help out, because of how fast things escalate... Check out my diary OP, you can see what I eat and how much I've lost. I eat foods I like and I eat lots. I treat myself plenty. I'm not saying that you're not going to lose by eating ice cream every day. Do some…
  • Your body has a harder time breaking down artificial sugars rather than natural sugars. You'll lose because of the lower calories but you'll lose healthier and faster eating natural, cleaner foods. Ice cream and chocolate have tons of sugar and your body will have a hard time breaking that down, so obviously a piece of…
  • My picture is in my profile. I'm 25 & 5'8. My highest weight was 270, pregnant. But I lost 20 and stayed at 245-250 for 3.5 years. I started taking control in August 2011 (quite a few times I lost motivation and gave up for a month at a time, once it was 2 months!) and I'm 161 pounds now with 6 more to lose :)
  • I used to eat the weight watchers and michalinas for lunch daily up until about a month ago... I've lost 83 pounds... Just try to choose the ones with the lowest sodium.
  • As soon as you stop using them, you go back to how you were before. It's a short term fix. I've used them twice and I didn't notice a thing! And the only reason I tried them was because I won them. I have seen people use them and lost an inch or so, but like I said its a short term fix. I believe you're suppose to use them…
  • My daughter was over a year old in that <--- before picture.
  • Before I had my 4 year old daughter, I was 180 pounds. Delivery date, I was 270! I lost 20 pound in the hospital then held at 250 until August 2011, when I started taking control of myself. I'm 160 now :)
  • Lol out weight fluctuates all day long! That's why you should weigh yourself each time (whether it be daily or weekly) at the same time every time! If you get on the scale 5 times a day, it'll most likely be different each time.
  • I weigh in around the same time in the morning, after I go to the washroom with no clothes on :)
  • You look awesome!! Keep up the good work :)
  • I'm the same way! Most of the time I feel like I look great, but there are plenty of times when I feel like I still look 250 pounds. I take pictures all the time and then when I feel a bit discouraged, I look at those pictures and it makes me feel great :)
  • I don't go to the gym so I bought a used elliptical for 50$ on kijiji/Craig's list. You can order great work out videos on line too, I use Jillian michaels.
  • My pic is in my profile :)
  • My boyfriend eats like a pig as well. I try to avoid going out but if I do, there are lower calorie options. Even a burger without a bun, with a side salad or veggies. It doesn't take much. I've been at this for almost a year and a half but I'm at the point where I can say no, for instance there's two boxes of chocolates…
  • Also, I leave the measuring tape kind of loose. Make sure you don't pull it tight where it's digging into your skin. If I see a dramatic change, I'll move it around a bit to make sure I have the right spot. You could take a pic of yourself too, and mark where your tape goes so that you've got a better idea.
  • People, please correct me if wrong... I use the body shot app, it's pretty neat! Now for waist, I measure between the top of my hips and under my boobs, kinda where it dips inward (it was harder to determine when I was larger). Abdomen, I measure where my belly button is, I try to find the largest part. Hips, I measure…
  • I eat bbq'd steaks, shake and bake chicken, hambuger... My boyfriend cooks supper and I eat whatever they're eating, just portion control! I have my snacks throughout the day and usually sandwich for lunch, or bacon and eggs! I eat pretty "normal". Feel free to add me, my diary is open so you can take a peek :)
  • Thanks a lot :) That's what I figure too, if I go to 155 then I have room to fluctuate in maintenance cuz I'm happy with where I am now. Gotta get back to working out, my tummy still needs some tightening up!
  • I've lost 84 pounds since August 2011. I started mfp in march 2011 at around 236 pounds, I'm 162 now (took a few "breaks" since march) and I've stuck to mfp calories for the most part. I eat 1200-1300 calories, didnt eat back my excersize cals (at most I burned around 300 cals per day). I'm happy, healthy and I've had no…

  • Thanks for this! I was aiming for 155 anyway, but this confirmed that 155 will be a healthy weight for myself. Just under halfway between the "normal" range :)
  • I'm 5'7 3/4. My profile picture shows my progress pic. My starting weight was 248, I'm 162 now and my goal is 155.
