Maybe you can try shadow boxing while sitting. It may sound funny, but moving your arms around like that will give you some exercise.

I would say only a few hundred calories, but it depends on how you cycle. There's lots of different ways to do it. When I did it, my schedule was like what's above. I've seen some eat low during the week and high (maybe their maintenance level) on the weekend, but that would mean you would need to cut all your calories…

Maybe you could try calorie cycling. I've done it before we good results.

I can't get past the smell. It turns my stomach.

^^^^^ This, or if you don't trust that doctor, get a second opinion quickly. I would NOT go against your doctors recommendations based on advice you get on a message board.

I wonder what they will do if someone falls out of their chair next. I guess all of you will be standing? lol

Celery does contain calories, even if it were true that you burn more than you take in. You still take in calories.
-
I've never had it happen to me, but it is VERY possible for a number of different reasons.

I would suggest that if you want to move to drinking your coffee black, splurge on good coffee to start off. Some coffee just doesn't taste good by itself. I've been drinking my coffee black for a couple of years, but our coffee at work is so horrible I just can't manage to drink it black.

I was just using that as an example... You body has complicated filters that and will get the water it needs whether or not there is "stuff" in it. The idea of drinking so much "water" a day is for hydration. There are tons of articles stating you can count the soup you had for lunch as "water" because the fluid in it…

^^^^^^^ I agree with this!!
-
Do you have some facts to back this up? I'm pretty sure that if I put sugar in my water, my body is going to ingest water regardless.
-
Agreed!!
-
I'm not saying it isn't stupid or that I agree with him. I'm just saying that I don't think he would trust the person anyway. I can see where if you are going to be a jealous person who always looking for something to go wrong, maybe dating someone who is bisexual isn't the best idea.
-
I think everyone needs to look at his statement from a different perspective. Sounds to me like he is going to worry about being cheated on no matter what. The problem is that dating someone bisexual increases the number of people he'd have to worry about. Instead of only having to worry about the men his girlfriend talks…

Thank you for starting this!! Great idea!
-
Me too!! I'm at 216 myself. I want to break out of the 200s so bad.
-
funny!!

This would be my suggestion, too. Just email or text her to say you would like to talk before Easter dinner if she was still planning to come. If she ignores the message, I would assume she's not coming to dinner. Sorry you're going through this. Good luck on working it out.

Idiocracy

That sounds like something my hubby would say!!!

Did you ever discuss while you were dating what (if any) preferences he had on body type? There is nothing wrong with being or not being attracted to an overweight person. It is a physical characteristic just like hair and eye color. I wouldn't say someone was a jerk just because they said they were more attracted to…

Seriously, trapped into marriage.....? That seems like a lot of work, especially these days when a marriage is just as likely to fail as it is to succeed. I think it is a lot more likely that these women didn't take the time to truly get to know these men before they jumped into marriage. I dated my husband for 3 1/2 years…

This reminded me of an article I read just earlier today that said "do it scared."
-
I'm scare of this too. I've been overweight all my life and I don't know how to be a healthy/thin/normal person. I don't know who I am without the fat to hide behind. I've been stuck for over a year because of it. The fear has killed my motivation and I'm just now trying to find it again.
-
I've lost 60 lbs and my advice is to take baby steps. Don't change everything at once. Pick one or two small changes to start with (like no snaking after a certain time) and build up from there. It is easier to stick with that way and the small successes are huge confidence boosters.

You really like stereotypes, don't you??
-
ROFL!!!!
-
It's sad but true how much we are judge for our tattoos. I'm looking forward to when younger generations are in charge and no longer hold as many of the stupid stereotypes our parents and grandparents were brought up with.
-
I find this hilarious!!! I'm assuming the opposite is true of those who don't have tattoo?? They are weak-minded, polished people who only care what other people think......
