  • -Long walk with the dog, who doesn’t care how much I complain and vent. -hot cup of tea, a good book, & a cat (or dog) -scream -listen to loud music & sing and dance like a fool.
  • Cheating, no. ‘Banking’ calories perhaps. Or eating at maintenance on the week ends (it will slow loss, but won’t destroy what you accomplished so far. Or you could just plan ahead and fit some goodies in as part of your normal food consumption.
  • Pregnancy. Mine are bigger now than pre pregnancy. However, they are tube socks , so I practice a regular tuck and roll. I’ve also got loose skin and stretch marks so...
  • Yup! It definitely replaces some of the liquid! But when I do this, do make it wetter than normal. After it’s been heated up, it’s kind of like a muffin.
  • I love oatmeal! I usually use a 40g serving of old fashioned. Today I put in vanilla, a little sugar, cinnamon, salt, beat an egg and added it, then a little unsweetened vanilla almond milk and tossed it in the microwave! Other mornings I’ll add a whole banana, cinnamon, salt. And either the unsweetened almond milk or…
  • My kids love dance videos! (2 & 4 years old) they sometimes will attempt yoga. It was just me and the two yesterday. She mostly ran around me in circles and sat underneath me. The laying down ones are the most difficult, she launches heself onto my stomach.
  • Note: I do not own one, so take my words with a grain of salt... From what I gather, a fitness tracker should probably be viewed as an accountability "partener," rather than a weigh loss tool. So not essential, but useful!
  • Nicely done! & You have a gorgeous smile, before & after!
  • We eat out/order in quite often. I tend to eat light for breakfast. If I choose something high calorie while we're out, I portion out what will fit in my calories for the day, & take the rest home for another meal. I enjoy eating out, & spending that time with my family, so I adjust my priorities accordingly. If you…
  • Nice work, you look great!!
  • I order all mine online!
  • I do! They're typically used to make coffee, but I pretty much use mine exclusively for tea. They're fairly easy to clean, you can just wipe out the tea leaves, & the "press" part of mine comes apart, if I need to give it a more thorough clean. I put the tea in loose, add my hot water, steep it, then push the plunger &…
  • I've successfully lost the weight from both my pregnancies! My youngest is turning one in a week and a half, & I've decided to start weaning this week. I'm gonna miss those extra calories. I'm gonna maintain for a little while, then try & drop these extra couple of pounds. I eat a lot of oatmeal. (Sometimes for dinner, I…
  • Oh, & I haven't coughed up the cash for a gravity steeper, but a French press works just as well. You can also use it to make foam for lattes :)
  • I LOVE Davids tea. There are stores in the US, just not a lot. Unfortunately, there are none by me, so I order online. I drink a lot of Matcha. & I'm absolutely in love with their Lemon Pound Cake (oolong) I wish it were a permanent tea. I should have bought more. So much variety. The customer service I've received is was…
  • I loose weight drinking tea, in general... Because I sip, instead of snack. No magic.
  • I don't have any good advice, besides keep moving. Do some pregnancy specific work outs & yoga, go for walks. As for the food end, I hear ya, I was hungry all. the. time. while pregnant. & I ate pretty crappy. It's taken a bit of work, but I've shed the preggo weight & then some. My youngest will be a year next month.
  • I prefer herbal tea, or fruit :)
  • I eat oatmeal with blueberries, a pinch of salt, & a bit of cinnamon, a bit of sugar/sweetener. Sometimes I make overnight oats with the same, plus yogurt. It's yummy!
  • I like it when I have a sore throat... But as a diet technique, no.
  • I weigh myself daily, but only record once a week. I tried weighing myself just once a week, but I ended up gaining weight, without the daily accountability of the scale. That said, you will fluctuate a bit, over a week, so if you go the day route, don't take the numbers too literally.
  • Gotta commit, fully. Meal plan, shop smart. If it's something that triggers you to over indulge, don't buy it. If it's not in your house, you can't eat it. If you eat out, cut your meal in half (or what ever portion fits your calorie budget best), & have the rest for lunch tomorrow. Drink water! If you don't like plain…
  • I feel ya. I'm 5' tall, and just about ready to maintain. I'm also breastfeeding a 9 month old (with a goal of weaning at a year). I love the extra calories that nursing gives me. I'm gonna be sad to see them go. I haven't been able to work out as I'd like. There just isn't time (she'll sleep through the night someday,…
  • Around 400 calories. Usually oatmeal, peanut butter, blueberries, & a cup of tea.... Except for today... Today I had donuts...
  • Oatmeal with peanut butter & blueberries. And cinnamon, because, yum!
  • I count calories. I work out to be strong & because I hate getting easily winded & worn out :)
  • The skirt I bought while on my honeymoon! I can zip it! Almost there!
  • Every day, but only really keep track of the once a week. I find the fluctuations interesting, nothing more.
  • I drink green tea daily... Because I love tea. Lots of antioxidants, yea, but I just like the flavor ;) green tea can be finicky, if the water is too hot, it burns the leaves, & gets pretty nasty tasting. Drink it for hydration, or because it makes you happy (mental health is just as important as physical), not for weight…
  • I kept mine, buuuuut there's still a possibility I'll want to have another baby, in which case, I will most definitely gain weight.
