  • I've lost over 100 lbs & I easily find motivation to continue every day. I feel so much better, can do so much more, look so much better & smaller, love the foods I eat, and the list goes on and on! I give thanks for so many things. I also look forward to improving my body & my life every day. I also know the only way to…
  • Very true. I remind myself of this often. I've lost many battles but I am winning the war. Over 125 lbs gone despite being human & thus not perfect or even close to it. I keep working toward my goals.
  • I have had scales at a doctor's office be incorrect before. I told them it was wrong. A few pounds is one thing but 10 or a similar number tells me their scales are not working correctly. I go by the number on my own scales. The numbers on different scales will vary a bit. It is not really the number that is important when…
  • My protein amount is based on my current LBM.
  • Don't let comments bother you. Seriously. There is nothing to be gained by being oversensitive. How about not getting on the defensive & just smile. Don't say a word. Enjoy your food. People have been commenting on my food that I take to work for a long, long time. Doesn't bother me at all. I know what I am doing & why. I…

  • I haven't noticed a change. Regardless of whether my calories are under or over I get a message stating "If every day were like today you'd weigh xxx in 5 weeks." I find the message annoying because no two days are exactly alike. There are many variables that matter when it comes to weight loss.
  • I toss the worn out ones, donate some, take the best to consignment to help offset the cost of smaller clothes. I don't keep clothes that are too big. I'm not going to gain it back. Suits & other work/interview appropriate clothes go to the local Dress for Success program here. They provide the clothes to those in need…
  • The health benefits of coconut oil are too many to list here. Best oil for cooking. I have used it almost exclusively for over a decade. The negative info and bad reputation that still seems to be around regarding CO was from a propaganda campaign connected to soy bean oil years ago. They set out to make everyone believe…
  • lol.. There is no such thing as "good sugar." As mentioned, the human body has no need for sugar.
  • Both are important to me. And lots of other things, too. Different people have different goals. Eating junk is fine according to some people but not others.
  • That just means that your mind is already preparing for your success! Thinking ahead... :D
  • Cuts are designed for fat loss. A cutting diet can also be high fat. They are not all low fat diets.

  • Thanks for sharing this. I decided I would be from London. lol... I thought I was aware of my correct size but I am 7.5% smaller than I thought. I'll take that!
  • No. If you feel the need to count shopping as exercise you're not working out enough.
  • Not really. Some liquids dehydrate. I count only plain water as water. I drink other liquids but don't count them.
  • Check out Title Nne online. Lots of styles to choose from for all levels of activity. Each bra is rated according to level of support.
  • I honestly think it would be a waste of money. From what I've heard from people who have been to one they really rarely offer sound suggestions. I have done/do a lot of nutritional research on my own and really suggest others do the same. We know our bodies better than anyone else ever could and, if we are honest, we can…
  • It happened years ago & hopefully no one but me remembers... I was lifting the stack on a calf raise machine & a grunt escaped...
  • They are known to be extremely inaccurate. I don't worry about the calories burned in my workouts. Instead of letting MFP or Fitbit determine my calories and give me extra calories for working out I calculate my calories according to my activity level & that includes my workouts. No worries about the calories being correct…
  • There is no best number of steps. Your goal should be to improve. First figure out how many you do on an average day. Then make your goal a bit higher than that. Not too easy to reach but not so hard you can't reach it. Hit that goal every day & then increase a bit the next week and repeat.
  • Weight training, especially a legs workout.
  • Just hang in there & keep working hard. Remind yourself how good you are doing. It will happen one day when you least expect it! It seemed like it would take forever for me to need a smaller size! Of course, the size I was wearing was at least one sze too small when I started! lol... but I finally shrunk out of them and…
  • If I were you I'd shop for new clothes when the ones you have start to get loose. How many pounds that will take no one can say. It really doesn't matter. You'll know by the fit of your clothes that it is time. I've lost over 100 pounds and I've been replacing clothes for a long time! Thank goodness for clearance sales &…
  • There are so maany every day! Maybe most notable is shopping at the Victoria's Secret Sale - it has been years wince I wore those sizes! But then, there is the high I got from power walking the other day... And the pants that were too small to button a few weeks ago fit!
  • Wow... I'm glad to hear this! In the past I was all about reaching some number on the scale. Always ended up in the 97% group. This time there is no number goal. I plan to work to improve my body & health forever. My goal is to be the best I can be inside & out. I don't believe in maintenance. I love my healthy lifestyle!…
  • How about starting off with walking and build up to power walking? I am enjoying power walking and it seems to be helping with fat loss, too. Not to mention it is fun & I feel great doing it and after, too. I want to avoid running to spare my joints since they already have issues.
  • No idea! I really don't pay that much attention to those suggested calories burned most of the time.
  • I've still got some fat left to lose but right now my plan is to switch to building muscle once I'm happy with my fat loss. I just want to keep getting better and stronger and... lol... I'm not sure if I'll ever really want to maintain.
  • Check out Title Nine online. They have a large selection of styles & sizes and have the level of support listed also.
