I may not be able to encourage you every day but I do try my best. Feel free to add.

I love the phrase, "it doesn't get easier, you just get better." That is what I like to compare this too. I was ashamed of myself when I first started. Really, I couldn't even run for 60 seconds without feeling like I was going to die and sometimes I couldn't complete the full 60 seconds. That was a serious motivator for…

Reverse psychology? LOL

YOU CAN DO IT! One tip...stop and ask yourself EVERY TIME before you put that bite in your mouth..."Am I really hungry or ...?" Stay strong!

I'm 5'3, still have another 35-40 to go. Feel free to add me and best of luck on your journey!

I'm on day 405. I log daily, motivate most days and always appreciate being motivated. Feel free to friend me. I've tried WW before but wasn't successful - I was eating the wrong kind of points. I am, however, a fan of high protein/lower carb (not low but LOWER). Works really well for me when I follow it. I wish you the…

You are not alone. Many have done the same so don't stress. This is a rest of your life marathon, not a sprint. It's all about building healthy habits a little at a time. I've logged in 400+ days in a row so feel free to add me if you wish. I love to give and get support.

You can add me. 5'3 and still have 30-40 to lose. Having encouraging friends really helps.

You guys are great!! Thank you so much!
-
I'm going to have to add these to my menu. Such great ideas!

I would rather have a recipe that someone has actually tried here on MFP instead of scowering the internet for something.
-
I'm 36...you can add me if you want support and are supportive. :)

Great post!

First of all, don't listen to Dr Oz and don't do such a strict diet. It is unlikely that you will be able to stick to it if you enjoy the things you're completely cutting out. Been there, done that. Secondly, you need to read up on BMR and TDEE. Find the group eat, train, progress. They can help you setup everything.…

Just started it. Love it so far. That 25 minutes flies by. I usually add another 5 minutes of stretching.

I'm 5'3 and my doctor set my goal at 138. I'm shooting for 135-140. Always looking for active MFP friends.

You can add me :)

You can eat adequate protein on 1200 calories a day but it's not fun. I did it for almost a year. 84-104 grams per day by doctors orders but eating like that will kill your metabolism over a long period of time.
-
One more thing, you don't get to eat back your exercise calories because you factored that in when you calculated your TDEE.
-
I was eating at the 1200 calorie mark for almost a year. I'm 5'3. I lost 40 pounds and then my body said...Whoa! We're not going to lose any more. Did lots of research on plateaus, yadda yadda...up your calories. I've already lost 4 pounds since I started eating more. Just make sure to weigh and track EVERYTHING (if you…

That could be it! She was probably used to seeing people struggle with that amount of calories. Not hard for me because I've never been a big eater. I'll probably keep at it, just wanted some thoughts. Thank you!

One more thought: Developing a healthy relationship with food and exercise is more important than seeing the scale move. I can go in the neurotic perfectionist mode if I'm not careful. I've noticed this tendency in some of my MFP friends too. Do not beat yourself up if you go over or eat some sweets or, or, or... Look at…

I used to feel the same way on rest days. I found upping protein and fiber rich veggies help stop the hunger. Make sure you're eating enough on exercise days as well. You may also be dehydrated so drink PLENTY of water. 100 ounces minimum. Just hang in there, your body is resisting the changes but it does get easier.

The definition for clean eating is different for everyone. Read this http://body-improvements.com/resources/eat/

Like many others have said, go very slow. If you can't run for 60 seconds, then run as far as you can and walk. You have to give your body time to get used to it. Your muscles, joints and ligaments aren't used to this yet and you need to try to prevent injury! You're going to do great, just don't ever give up!

Freaking amazing! You look wonderful. So very proud of you!!!
