Why is this topic even posted? People should realize that this website exists to encourage others to make healthy decisions and not make others feel bad about their lifestyles. I don't see anything that is educational or has to do with nutrition.

I think it is better to have a protein shake or fruit before a workout so that you can: 1. Jumpstart your metabolism 2. Have increased energy during your workout Then have a small something after your workout to keep your energy up.

Are you a member of a gym? I do a bootcamp workout at my gym that is interval style. It's cardio mixed with strength training. I love it because the after burn is crazy! So maybe you could do some more strength?

It works. I've lost 33 pounds on here. I do the biggest loser bootcamps at my gym and that also helps.

My goal is at 100 pounds of weight loss I am going to visit India. At 50 pounds I was supposed to go to the United Kingdom, but I will be going there in July so I need to hurry it up a little bit!

I workout to also combat depression and it helps. I found out doing group exercises (no matter how intimidating) has helped me the most. Try doing a fun workout class that has fast music. Hi I'm Shannon! I've been vegetarian for 11 years and a lot of that time a vegan. I lost a lot of weight as a vegan, but gained it back upon becoming a vegetarian in culinary school. Right now I am considering going back to being a vegan. I live in the SoCal area too! :tongue:

I have to wear a chef hat at work and with my white chef jacket I resemble the Michelin Man. So when I go to places that have the mascot cutout , and I am still in my work clothes, I don't want to stand next to it and look like his wife. :laugh:

I have the same problem. I think it is because you are gaining more muscle mass, which is denser than fat. So you are not actually gaining, fat weight, but instead getting more toned. You could also be drinking more water. Remember that you will see the results in the mirror and not on the scale.
