You can do CICO and eat any kind of diet you want. You didn't have to eat junk food and count your calories.

I eat nothing.
-
Just use protein powder and make a smoothie. Greens, Fruit, liquid, protein powder.

I used to eat them all the time. I would put in one head of romaine, some frozen fruit of choice, water or milk of choice, and then something extra like flax, chia or protein powder. I got hit on the E. Coli outbreak with the romaine and became extremely ill. So now I eat a lot less of the smoothies and use spinach.

I find it easy to eat an incredible amount of calories and feel like crap while I was on keto. Didn't work for me either. I find it much easier to do a small caloric deficit over time making small tweeks versus making drastic changes to my diet like cutting out a macronutrient.

I might get roasted for this, but I think micros do matter not just macros. People should eat nutrient dense foods as often as possible. Also, I think grains should not be a staple and that you should get your carbs largely from gluten free starches (potato, rice, etc) and fruits.
-
If you are hungry all the time try getting your carbs to 30-50% of calories and getting your protein up to about 1 gram per lb of lean body mass. Also, focus your diet on 80% whole foods like lean meats, veggies, fruits, potatoes, whole grains etc.

26.2 miles, but anymore I have a really nice 7.5 mile trail run and that is the longest I have any desire to do.

Room for error in the tests also, if you gain more muscle than fat your BF% will go down. IE you gain 5 lbs. 4 lbs of muscle, 1 lb of fat you have more fat, but your % is lower.

I get beef from local rancher and staples on amazon. We hit Sam's club and Kroger, but I live in redneckville and that's about all I get.
-
If you mean by watching it yes.
-
Ridiculous. Why target red meat versus any other food.

He might want to be careful with lots of peanuts and the Crons. Almond butter or sunflower butter might be a better option.

I basically do 16:8 IF by skipping breakfast. I then eat lunch, have a snack usually a couple pieces of fruit, and then dinner. I just drink some black coffee to get me through the fast which usually isn't a problem. I workout fasted usually. I don't like doing cardio on a full belly.
-
Absolutely you can just walk.
-
1 lb per week is pretty good. Weight flucuates up and down and is only linear over longer periods of time. I would keep going for another 8 weeks and see where you end up. I think you will be happy with what you get.
-
What is not true about his post?
-
Just skip dairy. Lean meats, fruits, veggies, starches.
-
This is how I eat almost every day. It works for me with hunger control. However, it is not magic. You will still need to eat in a deficit.

At home I do Kettlebells as my primary workout. There is tons of body weight exercises you can do as well, pushups, one arm pushups, pullups, etc.
-
Main thing for you is to get your weight into healthy range and try to keep your carbs in the 100-150 grams per day range. This is solidly out of keto, but still low carb. You should be able to set MFP up to easily meet those goals. I recommend going to the getting started stickies, reading those and getting started.…

I would start with exercise. It will help you manage your stress and get you moving in the right direction. Also, just get rid of the junk food and then when you get situated again you can ramp it up by food logging.
-
Forget whatever diet you know. Follow the advice in the threads suggested above, especially sexy pants. Set reasonable macro targets in MFP. I like 40 carbs, 30 fats, 30 protein. Eat at least 80-90% of your foods as whole foods, lean meats, eggs, veggies, fruits, etc and you will be successful.

I think what you should do is start taking accurate measurements of your waist, hips, and maybe chest and thighs. This will quantify what you are seeing with real numbers. You can then adjust your nutrition from there. It is possible if you have never trained before that you could build some muscle while in a deficit…

I'm not on keto. I eat about 40% carbs. All the newbies coming and announcing they are on keto is exhausting. I think Keto is definitely a fad and I'm going to predict that we get metabolic and health problems from it. There is specific reasons to use it, but they are rare.
-
Its something to get you started. I always recommend kettlebells for home fitness along with pushups and pullups.
-
You probably were over trained and maybe undernourished. Sounds like you didn't give any rest and maybe didn't have enough carbs. I have no idea what you are doing but that is where I would look. Not logging has nothing to do with it. Rest and proper nutrition has everything to do with it.

Healthy eating should not have zero taste. For instance, last night I made chicken sausages with potatoes roasted with onions in butter. It was delicious. I can sympathize with you on the snacks. The key for me is to come up with my plan which currently is 16:8 IF with lunch, one snack, and dinner and stick strictly to the…

I do Kettlebells, bodyweight and Run. I don't like the gym but I do like getting outside.

Wow.
