I would encourage you to take a look at this.. http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/1296011/calorie-counting-101#latest It gives a lot of really helpful information. Also, I really like my fitbit. I think it's really helped me understand how inactive I am at work and how few calories I burn if I don't do some…

My goal is to lose 25 lbs as well and of course I love to eat! I have an open diary (for friends) so feel free to add me!

I have friends that I workout with so it makes me get out of bed. If I just relied on myself I would be sleeping :)

I was at a Christmas party and my cousin took a picture of me coming down the stairs. I looked at the picture afterwards and all the sudden it hit me "Wow, I've gained a ton of weight!" Previous to that I knew I was gaining weight, but it didn't really hit me as far as how much my looks had changed. I got my butt in gear…

I use a Garmin with a HRM strap. I absolutely love it! It motivates me to workout harder. I like to do outdoor activities so it's helpful that it tracks my miles and my average speed when I'm running or biking. I also use it in the gym and it does a great job at tracking my heart rate and calories burned.

I'm not sure that it's a complicated answer. If it's normal for you to go two weeks over on occasion it's probably just water retention/bloating. You would have to eat 14,000 calories extra per week on top of maintenance calories to be able to gain four pounds in a week.. It doesn't sound like that's happening …

I agree with all of this. Moderate drinking for a female is one drink per day, which means a 5oz glass of wine. This does not mean you can stock pile for the weekend :) I'm not sure what you mean by 3 "regular" glasses of wine a night. What I do know is when you cut out something like that I can't imagine it not being…

Sounds great! I'll have to give this a try this summer.. if summer ever comes to Michigan :(

That's WONDERFUL!! You're awesome :)

This.. If you lost two lbs in 6 weeks that's about right if you are eating 1800 calories and at one point eating your exercise calories back. And #1 is right on point. You're stressing yourself out, life isn't fun that way.

Ok so you don't like fish, red meat, tofu, or veggies.. that's a difficult one! Greek yogurt tends to have more protein.. all of the protein that I eat tends to come from veggies, whole grains, and a vegan protein shake that I take. If you want to add me to look at my food diary feel free!

To up my calorie intake while eating whole foods I include food like nuts, peanut butter, yogurt, and homemade granola. Things that are a little higher in calories but still healthy. I have a to go snack pack that includes a serving of nuts, granola, and dried fruit. it comes up to about 400 calories and I'll eat that with…

I drink a cup of coffee almost every morning with almond milk. I just make sure that I have water throughout the day as well. I believe coffee, in moderation, is fine.

I'm going to go with A.. I've found that I can't restrict my calories by too much or I won't keep up with it. MFP has me set at around 1300.. no thanks! I'd rather workout for awhile.

I made a big batch of taco soup yesterday 1 can black beans 1 can white beans 1 can green chilies 1 can corn 2 cans tex-mex tomatoes 1 packet taco seasoning and then I put shredded chicken in mine, but it would still be delicious without it!!

I love how sincere you are with your questions!! I'm glad that you're getting your protein in as of now. I tend to stay away from protein powders because I rather eat other food (but that's just me) on occasion I will use my boyfriends stuff. It's great for after a hard workout! I get my protein through chicken, eggs,…

Lol, this made me giggle :D I hate turkey bacon. The first time I ate it I was appalled that other people were actually enjoying it. I still don't understand why someone wouldn't want the REAL stuff!! haha Eh, oh well, to each his own!

Lol, this is basically how conversations about food go with my bf, so now I just make the meal menu. I choose the healthy foods that I want to eat and he's just happy that there's food (and it's pretty delicious at that!) That's what I recommend, or just going to two different spots and bringing it home or to the…

@EmilyRanae22 Love your style!

I put the weight that I started with on here.. I've lost 22 lbs, but I think it only says 7. I did that because about 15 of those lbs I've kept off for awhile. Either way, you know how much you lost, great job btw!!
-
Hey!! I've lost 20 lbs and am now trying to lose the last of it, about 15, now. I'm doing it through running, working out regularly, and eating healthy. Add me if you would like! I love having friends with similar goals :)
-
Thanks for the info!! I'm going to look into all of it :)

I'm actually not sure. Right now, I'm doing Turbofire. It's by the same company that does p90x, but it's not as extreme.

Thanks for the site!! A lot of good reading!

I have the same problem!! I get full meals pushed on me actually. There just being nice and polite, so I'm not rude back. What I do now is if it's something that someone bought individually (this happens a lot with cookies and doughnuts) I take it and say I'll eat it later, but I actually toss it later. When it's full…
