  • I'm not new to MFP, I've been on for 10 years. Would love to have new friends for motivation and support. My email is cdavis1126@hotmail.com. I lost 100 lbs 8 years ago then my husband got sick and passed away 4 years ago. I bought a house and my mother moved in with me. It's been a rough decade! LOL Anyway, I'm back and…
  • i dont even know what bump is...lol
  • One thing I can suggest is to plan your day ahead. First thing in the morning, plug in your food and see where you are. If you are over, make some changes. I follow a food plan that can be found on http://dietfreelife.com/. I've lost 96 lbs so far since 10/09. Robert Ferguson also has a book that was just published. My…
  • how weird is that? lol
  • Take them to a consignment shop and get money to buy new clothes!
  • I understand your frustration and you can whine whenever you need to! Planning my meals out for the day really helps. I used to do it for a whole week in advance but after a year of this, I find I can do it on the fly. I like to make things like chili in advance and then break it down into servings to freeze. This way if…
  • Open your food diary and post another blog asking ask to look at it and then maybe we could help. Without knowing what you are eating, when you are eating, it's tough to suggest anything.
  • depends on how much you are over. why don't you try logging your food into the diary at the beginning of the day. plan out what you are going to eat. you will be able to tweak your plan for the day and correct it before you eat not after when it's too late.
  • Wow, I'd like to go there too!! Happy anniversary! If you wants the lobster mac n cheese, and that would be my plan as well, then have it but realize that this is probably going to break you in terms of calories and fat. I would have the mac n cheese and then the Sea Scallops - Peruvian potatoes, sauteed spinach, yellow…
  • I buy a rotisserie chicken once a week, already cooked, and take off all the meat. I made a chicken quesadilla last night. 4 oz of chicken, 1 tbsp trader joe's black bean dip and 1/4 cup 2% cheese. Nuked a sweet potato to go with it. In a non stick skillet, some cooking spray, lay the tortilla flat, add the chicken, dip…
  • I log all my food in the morning to help me stay on track. I'm not perfect however I've lost 84 lbs and I'm SO close to getting under 200 lbs I just can't stand it! I have dark chocolate dove in my desk drawer and I don't know how many times I've looked at it the past week but I won't touch it. I'm so close and I just want…
  • Trying setting a goal for yourself to create a fantastic meal at home...create the recipe, shop for it and then plan on making it. Invite someone over to eat it with you. I used to love eating out every night on the weekends but now I would rather limit it to once and really take my time on cooking some fantastic meals. We…
  • It's gotta be a lifestyle change and I'm in it for the long haul!!
  • Target has champion stuff and it's not that expensive.
  • tanita is what i hear recommended all the time
  • I gave up my hard core Friday night drinking back in October with absolutely no problem. However, cigs are a whole different story for me. I do have a quit date in mind, September, when we get back from vacation. I'm already gearing up mentally thinking about it. I give you huge kudos for quitting cold turkey!! I keep…
  • Sometimes I just take the tilapia and season it with some black pepper and a little cayenne pepper. coat from non stick pan with cooking spray and cook till it's flaky. I measure out 4 oz of the fish, divide between two ortega whole wheat hard shell tacos. top with some diced tomato, lettuce and slivers of red onion. Fish…

  • Diets don't work. Changing your lifestyle does! I've switched to pepperidge farm whole wheat deli flats and Trader Joe's tortilla wraps, they are wonderful. No more white sugar, white four or high fructose corn syrup. Working out everyday. I've been on this awesome food plan since October and have lost 84 lbs and 59…
  • Try 1 tbsp of garlic hummus and a slice of tomato, really really good!
  • I buy garlic hummus from Trader Joe's. I use it as a condiment on chicken/turkey burgers or in my wraps. (1 tbsp which is plenty). I don't think it's enough of a snack so I don't usually use it that way.
  • It probably is because you were eating more. Your body needs fuel to burn the fat!
  • Lazy Cabbage Rolls 1 large head of cabbage shredded or chopped 1 onion, diced 1 lb uncooked ground turkey 1 cup Basmati brown rice 2 cups Del Monte No Salt diced tomatoes, pureed (2 cans) 2 cups of water juice of 1 lemon 1 tsp dill Chop up the cabbage and onion, put in the crock pot. • Complaceny is definitely something we need to watch for. bad food has been slipping back in for me as well. I've lost 79 lbs since October and it's now slowing down. I just joined a 8 week challenge on my food program to try and help me get back on track. Still have 75 lbs to go! Good for you for getting back on track.…
  • I was just in Seaside myself not too long along. I see your concern! However on my food plan we can have two regular slices of pizza. Sometimes you can be lucky to find whole wheat crust. Ask them if you don't see it. Depending on where you go for dinner, you could probably find something healthy enough.
  • Awesome!!!
  • Arnold or Pepperidge Farms deli flats or Trader Joes whole wheat torilla wraps.

  • can't see your food diary so my suggestions may be redundant. cut out white flour, white sugar and any high fructose corn syrup. eat within 1 hour of waking up and eat every 2 to 3 hours to keep your metabolism burning. Keep snacks under 200 calories. There is so much more to my food plan, you can check it out at…
