  • Split Pea Soup with Ham...this is one of my favorites and SO easy. This is great without the ham too but I will hear about it from the fiance if I make a meal without meat. DELICIOUS! Layer in the crockpot: 16oz package of dried green split peas 3-4 chopped carrots (I usually add more for our tastes) 1/2 cup chopped onions…
  • I love to make a bake out of it with diced tomatoes, mozzarella cheese, olives, garlic, spinach, and onions. No actual tomato sauce, but all the juice from the diced tomatoes add plenty of moisture without making it too similar to spaghetti.
  • It gets so much easier! I am not in shape at all but if you push yourself, you can do it. If you feel like you absolutely have to stop, then just jog in place until you can continue. I couldn't make it all the way through the first time, but made myself do it the second time (with a few jogging in place episodes). If you…
  • So far, I am loving this....I can barely run a 1/4 mile without walking but am in the second week of this program and it really does increase your endurance. Do it! Even if you CAN run longer than the intervals recommended, just go with the program. Let it take you to running a 5k.
  • Your results seem great to me, can't see your pics though, but your measurements look like great improvement! Keep it up!
  • A heart rate monitor give you an estimated calorie burn based on your age, weight, height, and actual heart rate during exercise. Get one! They are awesome and help you track your workouts based on fitness and fatburn.
  • The frog bra/tadpole bra (different levels of support) from Title Nine are awesome! I was a 38DDD but am now a 36DD and hoping to still change that but running and doing any kind of jumping was super painful. This bra though is amazing! I have the tadpole, should have gotten the frog though because I have to wear a normal…

  • I too LOVE the Jillian Michaels videos. The 30 Day Shred is very intense at first (as any exercise program is) but it got easier pretty quickly and after doing it everyday for a month I was way more toned. Very noticeable. I also really like the C25K program. Its great especially if you have a place (like a track) where…
  • Knowing how to do them and being able to do them are two different things. A couple of other people have already left you responses about the physical maneuver. However, if you are unable to do them, your ab muscles just need strengthening! No biggie. You will be able to do them in the future, start small...just do…

  • My boyfriend and two of his best friends say the same thing...one of his friends always teases that now that I'm losing weight (I'm a size 14/16) am getting too skinny for them now. Haha...I always thought that guys preferred those thinner, leaner girls too...maybe not??
  • Yum!
  • Interested to hear all the feedback!

  • You do look great! I too just went from obese to overweight and was so happy!
  • Make sure you take your measurements as well as just weight! I wasn't losing very many lbs but my body was changing a lot in my measurements and that kept me motivated until I did start losing again. It really helps to see that you've lost inches off your waist in a month and other achievements like that!
  • Jillian Micheal's No More Trouble Zones DVD is supposed to provide exercises that targets those areas that are a little more difficult to get rid of. I have not yet tried this one myself but it is definitely on my list!

  • I'm 5 days away from finishing the 30 Day Shred and so far have lost 8 lbs and 7.5 inches overall! I was also walking a fast paced mile most nights a week but not doing any other serious exercise. So far I'm super happy with Jillian's DVDs!
  • I'd love to see eveyone's results as well!
  • I'm new to running too and am looking to build my endurance. I stumbled upon the C25K program and think that I am going to use that as a starting point...seemed like a good place to begin!

  • It will also break your "you have logged in for so-many-days-in a row"...every time I log an entry now, I hit complete that way whether I enter my lunch and dinner after midnight or not, it doesn't matter.
  • I did level 1 and 2 each for 10 days and am currently starting level 3. After level 1, I weighed and measured myself and I had gained 2 lbs and my measurements hadn't changed at all. I was really discouraged and quit for a week and a half. Then I decided I really wanted to continue because of all the great results everyone…
  • I am on day 2 of level 2 and it totally kicks my butt! I'm sure I'm burning more than 250 cals but since I don't know, I estimated low...can't wait to get a heart rate monitor! I'm 5' 11" and 220 lbs and am definitely not super fit either...trying to get there though! :)
  • AGREED!!! Love, love, love that website! Not only are there TONS of recipes but also reviews from people who have already tried them as well as cooking tips for beginner cook and those of you who are already decent cooks but are dabbling in new types of cooking! That is definitely my go-to website when I'm stumped as to…
  • I don't have a heart rate monitor yet so don't know exactly how many calories I'm burning (estimate to be 250 since my heart rate is through the roof most of the time and I sweat like crazy!)...what are your estimates on calorie burn?
  • Sounds good!
  • These look SO good! Definitely going to make them!
  • It seems to me that they turn out a little more dense...I don't mind but my boyfriend doesn't like it at all. There is a texture difference and if you are willing to be okay with that to cut the calories (I am!) then it is totally worth it and works great!
  • "I heard the foot doctors are loving them, they are making them a bunch of $$$$$" why? causing foot problems?
  • Love it! And the Nutty-Grain!
