I log whatever the result when I weigh in. Fluctuations are all part of the diet and I journal every detail.

I eat lots of frozen entrees and I don't feel it's thwarted my weight loss at all. For me, it's a matter of convenience. The thing is, frozen "diet" entrees get a bad rap...not all are off-the-charts in sodium and to add to that, most frozen foods in general are higher in sodium as well as canned foods. I would definitely…

Lol - "Holy wall of text..." This made me laugh - love it.

Congrats on your upcoming anniversary and it's a bonus to have some added savings because you're living healthier! I hope you guys get to do something fun...since your diet is a joint effort, you both deserve a treat!

If you want to add me, I'd be happy to help or advise or support - sounds like you're struggling so the first step is to listen to the posters on here - there's a lot of valuable information and wisdom to be taken and I'm sure if you're committed to make changes (even ones that scare you like an upped calorie goal) make…

I make my own, I eat Stouffer's French Bread Pizza and we have pizza from local restaurants. It all depends on what calories I have allotted for it. If you want a less calorie heavy version, order "old fashioned" style pizza which typically includes sauce, green and red peppers and Parmesan cheese. If you really want to be…

When you say you "love your wine", how much do you love it? Sure, there are health benefits to a glass of wine but it's almost pure sugar. Could this be the culprit?

I see lots of posts about this and know many people struggle with PCOS - I'm one of them. I began dieting on January 1st and have lost 16 pounds. I've had PCOS for many years and I really let it hold me back. The symptoms are cumbersome and I believe it really does take longer to lose weight with it, than the average…

I eat a variety of fresh, processed and restaurant meals (mostly the latter). My schedule and lifestyle are big factors in what choices I make each day. I may not be "eating clean" but I am losing weight consistently. I say, DO WHATEVER WORKS TO GET YOU TO GOAL. Losing excess weight can make a huge difference in your…

Sure, you'll probably drop some pounds fast but if you want to have a semblance of health, muscle or metabolism left when you're done, you should probably rethink this little plan.
-
Well, thank you so much! I'm going to take note of all that and use some of that info when I go buy some weights tonight. Very much appreciate it!
-
Thanks - I understand what you're saying about effort vs method and I like that.
-
Wow, you should be incredibly proud, as I'm sure you are! Great progress and great dedication and hard work - good for you!

Day 4 - Rest Day :)

I started at the beginning of January and have lost 16 pounds. Would I like if it would have been more? Of course but I have to be honest, with the way I was going before this diet, I just have to appreciate the fact that I LOST 16 pounds and not GAINED them. Good luck to you.

I don't hate the word "toned". Describe your goals however you want and good luck in the process!

You're eating an extremely low number of calories and that's not doing your metabolism any favors. Your body has the ability to get used to the calories you're taking in and ultimately, thwarting your weight loss. When you start out that low, you have no where to go from there. If I were you, I'd start over and research…

You may have considered you were eating less food but nothing but Coke for nine hours? The calorie count in pop with sugar is off the charts! You may have been taking in just as many calories with what you were drinking as what you were eating. Also, I don't believe the key to weight loss is burning more calories than you…

Agree with this.

I have PCOS and although I've found that it takes me longer than the average person to lose weight, I do lose consistently (albeit slowly) by counting calories.
-
If you're truly experiencing hunger, then chances are you may not be eating enough to compensate for your workouts. You need to eat enough to support the active changes you're adding to your lifestyle.
-
We eat at restaurants constantly and while I'm not claiming that's the healthiest lifestyle, it often works for our schedules. I definitely make the most of it. If it's a chain restaurant, I Google their nutritional info first, or search out menu items on here for calorie counts, etc. If it's a privately-owned restaurant,…

Congrats - that's really something to be proud of! Great work!
