  • Workout. Plus, I always log everything for that day right when I get to work in the morning just to hold myself accountable.
  • Brummel & Brown Yogurt Spread Butter. VERYYYY good!!!!!! Veryyyy low fat, and much lower saturated fat. I don't like regular butter - salted or unsalted. It has a bad taste.
  • I just saw this in a health magazine yesterday while I was riding the stationary bike in the gym! I want to try it.
  • Crispy Flat-Out Pizza 1 "Flat Out" brand flat bread (produce/deli section) 1/3 – ¼ c. pizza sauce of choice Veggies (mushrooms, baby spinach leaves, olives, onions, peppers, etc.) Turkey pepperoni, grilled chicken, ham, pineapples 1/3 c. Fat-free mozzarella shredded cheese Spray non-stick baking sheet lightly with olive…
  • My TOM (which happens to be right now) is killer also! I don't give into temptations much, but do tend to go over my cals 1-2 times that week. Last night for instance, I couldn't stop and ended up going over by 199 for the day. Not like me at all, but I had to.
  • I agree. Don't log them. And btw, that's not accurate at all! I have a Polar heart rate monitor that I'm betting may say around 100 cals burned in 60 minutes tops! 300? No way! Not right. Created by MyFitnessPal.com - Calorie Counter
  • Oh, just a reminder...load up on healthy foods if you have some "spare" cals to use up. Cheese, natural/low fat peanut butter, handful of nuts (almonds, walnuts), yogurt, carrot sticks, fruits, etc. It's not a free-for-all to binge on cake and icecream (although I'm guilty of this sometimes when I have spare cals). I have…
  • As you can see, I've lost 24 lbs. thanks to MFP. I ate my exercise cals (I've been in maintaining phase since like March and am still doing well). Some on here eat the exercise cals, while some do not. 9 times out of 10 the people on here report that they had more success when eating the exercise cals. Good luck with your…
  • What a great post just before the holiday weekend! I've got the same dilemma. For me, at the bars, it'll be diet (whatever flavor) and Rum. When making my own at a BBQ, I go for pretty much the same mixers as you do...I love flavored Vodka - especially peach and raspberry! Thanks for the Crystal Lite idea! So you do that…
  • That's such a great feeling, isn't it?? I went from a size 9/10 (juniors) to a 5/6 (juniors). I hadn't worn that size since my freshman year of high school. I'm almost 30 years old now. I couldn't believe it! And, yes, I agree with loss of inches vs. weight change. Good luck and congrats!!!! It all pays off in the end!…
  • Maybe it's just me, but this doesn't sound like a permanent life changing thing to me. Too rigid. I don't "diet," but rather just eat what I want that is nutritious. Please enlighten me. My mother and father-in-law started the SBD like a month ago. I am not onboard for them to do it, but maybe I just need educated. Created…
  • You'll love it! I cannot remember which Polar model I have, but I'm hooked. Be sure to tuck the back side of the strap underneath your sports bra strap to keep it from slipping. That's the only issue I've had with it. And, wash the strap and electrodes with warm water and soap every other time you use it. I notice mine…
  • I've seen this at an ice cream shop once and got it. You're right - it's good and a great sub for the real thing! Created by MyFitnessPal.com - Easy Calorie Counting
  • Yes, do the diet pop cake. Use a dark diet pop for chocolate cakes, and a light diet pop for lighter ones (lemon, strawberry, white, yellow, etc.). So far I've made Diet 7up + Strawberry cake mix and Sprite Zero + Lemon cake mix. No other ingredients and oh-so good. Top with ff cool whip instead of frosting. Yum-o!…
  • Actually, the Flatouts are in the deli/produce section by the pita bread. Super Target didn't have them, but I found them at Hyvee. I think Walmart has them also in their deli/produce section. And, yes, about the sodium...I haven't found low sodium canadian bacon or tomato sauce, but those were the two culprits causing the…
  • SOOO good! My husband and I just made this for dinner and fell in love with it! Hope you enjoy it as much as I do: Hawaiian Veggie Pizza 1 Bestlife Sundried Tomato Light Flatout Wrap 1/2 pkg. Hormel Canadian Bacon Pizza Style 1/4 C. fresh pineapple chunks 1/4 C. chopped yellow onion 1/4 C. chopped green pepper 1/4 C. Ragu…
  • Are you sure you're burning that many calories? Do you have a heart rate monitor telling you this? I'd find that out first, but that's just me. I like to know exactly what I'm burning and eating. I think you need to plan ahead and include snacks throughout the day: nuts, cheese sticks, fresh fruit (apple or banana, etc.),…
  • Just my opinion, but I tried a slice of my friend's Ezekial bread and was not impressed. While super duper healthy, it had zero taste. I felt like I was eating soft cardboard. But that's just me. Created by MyFitnessPal.com - Free Calorie Counter
  • I don't avoid bread, I just eat it in moderation (two slices per day for my lunch sandwich). I used to get the 45-calorie Sara Lee Delight Bread, but it's paper thin and I found that I got hungry soon after. Not to mention, if I recall, it's not 100% whole wheat or 100% whole grain. I switched to Nature's Own 100% Whole…
  • Ok, that settles it. I'm not the only one with the thin cake! I think I'll go ahead and use a smaller pan (8-in circle pan). Thanks guys!!!
  • Help! Last week I made Diet 7up Lemon cake for the first time. (Betty Crocker mix + can of Diet 7up...no eggs, no egg whites). I baked it in a 9x13 silver pan and when it came out it didn't rise hardly at all. I had a thin cake, but a great taste!! **Tonight I'm making this again, and since it's for a work function I don't…
  • Dave - my thoughts exactly about the large amount of cals burned! I have an HRM too and so I'm pretty familiar with cals burned. This was the first time he had used his new HRM.
  • My husband just started MFP this week. His cals are set to 1,930/day, not counting exercise. Well, we just bicycled today and his HRM read that he burned 1,300 cals! So after entering breakfast, lunch, and a protein shake he has around 2,300 cals still to eat!!! My question is, how important is it that he eat all these????…
  • Eat up that protein, girl! No harm. For me, I keep a close watch on pretty much everything else except for protein. Especially carbs and fat. And, yes, protein smoothis are to die for - especially after a good strength training session. Good luck! Created by MyFitnessPal.com - Online Calorie Counter
  • I am really paranoid about regain as well, since I've started maintaining. It's difficult to get used to, since I had to add 400 cals per day!!! Yikes!
  • I actually haven't weighed in since I started my maintaining mode. I plan to do this on Thursday. Oh, that's tomorrow, isn't it? I'll see what happens. I'm a little afraid to find out!
  • I reached my goal weight a month ago and am now in maintaining mode. I went from 1310 cals to 1710 cals. I feel like I'm eating just for the sake of eating, just so that I get my cals in. I work out everyday also, and I eat most of my exercise cals too. I just feel like it's bad to keep eating so that I don't go under my…
  • I just bought an avocado for the first time yesterday! I know, I know...pathetic, huh? Any quick/easy things to use it for, besides the obvious...guacamole? Thanks in advance!!! :flowerforyou:  Created by MyFitnessPal.com - Free Calorie Counter
  • Maybe I'm just crazy, lame, or just plain bored but I find logging my foods is like a game. Again, yes, I must be odd!!! But, I've surpassed my weight and health goals, so maybe it's not just a "game" after all! Created by MyFitnessPal.com - Free Calorie Counter
  • I myself recently replaced sugar with honey, like in my daily oatmeal. I don't use brown sugar anymore, but natural honey instead. Much tastier I think! And I only put a little squirt, not the whole tablespoon. Created by MyFitnessPal.com - Free Calorie Counter
