Hello! Wow the group has grown!
I can't believe how much the group has grown since I first joined last year. I did Zombies, run! season 1 when it first came out. I finished the whole series and started on side missions. I was doing great until I went to visit my sister in the US (I live in the UK). That was around the time of the hurricane Sandy (NY and…

I got mine today! I'm going to give it a try tonight and see what it's like, though I can run for longer than the training intervals. It will be interesting to hear how I came to be Runner 5!

Update on the blog about Zombies, Run! 5k
I just saw this, looks interesting. They say in the blog there will also be an update for iOS and Android soon. I am hoping it's season 2. It would appear that the Zombies, Run! 5k is a separate app and won't be free. I hope it's not going to be another $8. Here's the link to the blog.…

What is the dumbest thing you've done at the gym...
Following on Pete's story about the iPhone it made me remember the dumbest thing I did at the gym. So what was the dumbest thing you have done? It doesn't necessarily have to be at the gym, maybe on a run/walk outside or while working out at home. Here is my story... I almost drowned on the elliptical. Yep that's right,…

Superhero Fun Run...
Hits Aylesbury/Watermead on Sunday. I only just saw the poster when at the gym on Thursday. It's too late to sign up as you had to print and mail in your forms and fees and there was no guarantee that you would get a spot. I think that's poorly managed, why not have an online sign up, surely it would be easier to keep…

What is wrong with me???
I had a horrible night last night, didn't sleep well at all. I've been grumpy all day. I've had a bit of a sore throat and feeling a bit yuck, like a cold coming on. Hubby and I went on a walk and I thought that it would replace my run tonight, I just didn't feel up to it. So we were sitting on the sofa and I thought, it's…

Whaaaaaaaa!
 Today I will run my last mission. I am so sad to have it end. I plan on playing through again once my supply missions run out, but it won't be the same, *le sigh*

NSV today thanks to the zombs.
I finished off all the missions and today did the first supply mission. Now I started months and months ago with C25K but after about week 4 or 5 I get bored. Enter, Zombies, Run! This has kept me very interested. I've been doing a C25K version, trying to increase my endurance etc. Welllllll today I ran for a full mile…

http://blog.zombiesrungame.com/post/31926017954/introducing-zombies-run-5k-training Introducing Zombies, Run! 5k Training You might have already guessed from our little tease on Twitter yesterday that we’re in the final stages of developing a ‘couch to 5k’-style training app set in the Zombies, Run! universe, as promised…

Suggestions to make the pain go away faster...
Yesterday I participated in a charity hike of 9 miles. It was a 3 peaks challenge. During the last hour of the hike I started getting cramps in my calves. By the time we got to the top of the last peak I could barely walk. I expected this. However today the pain is enough that it's making me sick to my stomach. It doesn't…

Has anyone finished all the missions?
I finished mission 12 today, so half way. I was wondering if anyone has finished all 23 yet? No spoilers please! I haven't done any of the seperate supply missions because I'm too curious as to what is going on. I guess I should do those just to prolong finishing. Oh I do hope they have a new story line or additional…

Run Logs question
Ok with the new update, if you go into Missions and Run Logs at the top then hit Statistics you can see how many times you've been chased and caught. I have only been caught 1 time so far and I'm on mission 22. Well when I looked at the logs it says Total Zombie Mobs 38 avoided ...but caught 40 times! Well I'm no math…

Mission 22 for today...
My run tonight will be Mission 22! I want to finish but then don't want to. I would normally finish 23 on Saturday but I am doing a 9 mile hike on Sunday and need to save my legs. So I might not get to the last mission till Tuesday. I'm sad to see it end already. I really wish they would hurry up with season 2.

Enrique and the Zombies.
First, yes I have 2 Enrique Iglesias songs on my running playlist. Now that we've got that out of the way... I've noticed that every time one of the songs plays I get a zomb chase! So is it because they like Enrique and just want to have a listen? Do you notice chases happening during certain songs or is it all just in my…

This app is in my head!
Last night we were invited by some friends to ride bikes up to the pub for a drink. Well 2 drinks later and we decided to head home. It was dark and there is a section of the road where the council has decided to save electricity by not turning on the street lamps. Well the bike/walk path we use is also under construction…

Supply Mission 2
Hey Runner 5!!! Just a quick question, I've been doing the missions and did mission 9 tonight. I looked at the Supply Missions, are these separate to the Story Missions? It shows me Supply Mission 1, 3 and 4 but says S2 is Not yet unlocked. Thanks for the help. Oh and is the zombie link site down? It shows as not available…

Where can I find my range?
I bought a new HRM Polar FT4. When setting it up it has a Zone Range. Now it is set at a default with 114 bpm on the low side and 150 bpm on the high side. So the idea is to keep your heart rate in this zone for optimum burn, right? My question is this: How do I find out what my ideal burn zone would be? When I am running…

Best way to combine biking and running.
I recently bought a bike and have been using it but not on a schedule basis, mostly just to ride to town or the pub :drinker: I have also been jogging/walking with the Zombies, Run! app (thanks MFPeeps) I need to be a bit more scheduled. I am running every other day doing 30 minute missions along with a warm up and warm…

It's been so long, but a new NSV!
Just a little over 3 years ago my oldest daughter bought a bike. She then moved and wasn't able to take it with her so I decided to use it. I got the bike out and attempted to ride it. I went up the street about 4 blocks and had to stop and push it the remainder up the street as it was on an incline. I then tried to go a…

When do you start to 'LOVE' it?
This is something i've heard or read from people who run a lot, they LOVE it. They find it addicting and just have to do it. When the heck does this kick in? I know I am only on week 3 but as the routine gets longer and longer I am hoping for the LOVE to come along soon. When it's running day, I kinda sort of LIKE it, but…

To everyone in the USA, Happy Thanksgiving. I miss Thanksgiving and all the hoopla surrounding it. We are having Thanksgiving with some of our Brit friends, so I have a nice busy day ahead. OMG the price of turkeys here is insane, the one I bought yesterday is 8kg (17 lbs) and cost me £28!!! I kinda miss Black Friday, the…

Yay my NSV!!!
Ok first the brief background story. Oh come on, you didn't think I was going to jump right to the good stuff did you??? I will keep it brief. Back at the end of May of this year I took an interest in the C25K program. I found a free version sponsored by the NHS and feeling confident, downloaded weeks 1 and 2. I did my…

NSV For me!!!
Quick back story then on to the NSV. About the end of May I downloaded and started doing C25K. It was brutal to start with but I was determined to do this. I've never seen myself as a runner but had high hopes. Jump 2 weeks ahead to Thursday, June 9th, I've taken a friend up on their offer of playing competitive badminton.…

Code for Free Graze box
I got my first box this week (Yay) and I have been given codes to give to others for a free box. I think even current Graze users can benefit. Not sure so here is the code to try. 324LH11
