New to group, pregnant, PCOS, low milk supply question
Hello, I'm new to the group. This is my second pregnancy, but the first ended in miscarriage. I'm about 15 weeks now, and I have PCOS. I was recently reading that women with insulin resistance can have a low milk supply. This concerns me. Has anyone experienced a low milk supply? What worked to increase your supply?

I'm tired, cranky now I read Kate Upton is fat?!
OK so I live under a rock apparently, but I was looking up my girl crush, Kate Upton, and read she is considered fat. What the freakers? She's fat?! If she's fat then there's no hope for the rest of us. The epitome of femininity and she's considered fat, wow... :grumble: I was already tired and cranky and now I'm po'ed.

Cramping at 12 weeks
I see the nurse practitioner tomorrow, but over the last two days I've had sharp shooting pain on either side of what I describe as where my ovaries are located. I'm early 12 weeks. I started cramping last time before my miscarriage and I'm scared to death. Has anyone else had similar pains?

Are GMO's feeding the world?
We were having this discussion at work due to an article that most Asian countries are no longer buying our wheat, and I generally support the idea of growing a bigger and better tomato or golden rice to supply much needed vitamin A. However, are GMO's really feeding the world? Do they result in higher crop yields that…

Go away fatigue!!
Going into my 13th week and so tired. I have no motivation to do anything, and that includes prepping my food for the week. Before I got pregnant I had a great little routine going my nails on the weekends, making tortillas for the week, slicing my fruit and veg, walking, but now that's all gone by the wayside because I…

Genes take charge and diets fall by wayside.
I was reading an article from the NY times, and found it very interesting. So the TL:DR version basically states that obesity and thinness are inherent and driven by genes and unless you have will power and can handle being in that slight state of starvation to maintain that loss weight gain is inevitable. “Those who doubt…

I normally love vegetables all kinds from brussel sprouts to jicama love it all. However, I've noticed that my tastes have changed and now I feel like a picky 5 year old. Affordable Care Act Scare!
I was given this survey by H&R to assess my thoughts on the Affordable Care Act. Now I will say I like the idea, but as I got down to the nitty gritty and the money involved I am scared. This survey actually calculated what I would be paying in premiums with my income (I hope it is a huge conservative estimate). The eye…

Are you a glass half full or glass half empty person?
I am a glass half empty person. The contents have spilled and are probably going to ruin the floor is my usual thinking. People say I always think negative, but I think I'm just being realistic.
