I am new here and looking to lose about 50 pounds. I have always had a weight problem. I had a baby 6 months ago and though I am almost at my pre-pregnancy weight, I still had to much weight to begin with so I am hoping this site helps me stay on target.

Cold water burns more calories
Has anyone heard this before? By drinking ice cold water, you body will burn more calories than drinking at a warmer tempature. The reason because it takes more for your body to warm the water in your stomach. Thought I'd ask. :huh:

Motivation for those who need it
When starting MFP back in January, I was at 215.5 lb. Today, though I am still in the weight loss process, have lost 27.5 lbs.
