Gosh I have been looking high and low for a low carb forum here at MFP. I did a search by "atkins" and it brought me here. How do I get back? it doesnt show on the regular board list. This is awesome!! 3 pounds gone in 3 days. I get plenty of veggies, just eliminated bad carbs like bread, pasta and rice.

Why you should log your gains-
I was hesitant to log my gain last wekk. I got frustrated and said "forget it, I will try again next week". But I bit the bullett and logged it anyway. So today I weigh in and have lost the gain. So I log it and guess what? I have a loss! Much more satisfying than just breaking even. Come on folks, log those gains!!

5 pound margaritas

7 lbs in 1 week w/ no caffeine
This big of a loss is unusual for me and I must admit that I had a houseguest for a month and packed on 9 lbs. But I quit drinking coffee a week ago and had the biggest loss since my start date. I also changed my blood pressure meds. Is being calm the key to weight loss? Who would have thought.

Serious question about eggs.
I have a recipe for pasta tossed with eggs that I picked because it also uses ham which I have alot of. It says to mix the eggs then put in the skillet then "cook until the eggs stick to the back of the spoon". Then it gets tossed into the pasta. Oven fried chicken w/ potato flakes
I roasted chicken quarters last night and brushed in an egg wash then spread about 1 T of potato flakes on the top side only. They turned out moist inside and crispy outside. It was all about the egg wash. Make sure you use potato flakes, not buds. I made that mistake once.:smokin:

I supplemented my salad-
I had some cans of mixed veggies hanging around so I threw a half a can on my salad and zowie! I only ate half of what I budgeted for and had a whole other salad available for lunch the next day. It added a whole bunch of fiber to my intake and was very filling and satisfying. Just thought I would share.

I am holding myself accountable.
I gained 5.5 pounds after working so hard to lose 17. I logged my gain and noted the reason so I can look back and learn from it. I splurged on vacation then back-to-back splurged during a week long visit from a buddy. No excuses. No plateau. Just too much food and drink. So there.
