This morning while having our Sunday morning chat my fella (this morning it was a chat about my weight and my progress etc) he told me that he has noticed my…

Last weekend, I started a new exercise plan to kick start my weight loss after being complacent since June and not eating or exercising like I should be. TBH I am sick of losing the same 5lb over and over and being stuck where I am now. This is the plan that I did last week: Saturday – Walking – 5 miles minimum Sunday –…

Worried about getting in a swimming costume
Driving home from work today I had a great idea. I was going to drop in at my Local leisure centre and join. When I got there, the receptionist ran the options by me. The bells and whistles, all singing, all dancing gym, classes, swimming membership or just the pool. Now I find the gym boring, I tried it ages ago and…

I need heo get back on track...
Between January and June, I got myself into a good routine of eating healthy and exercising and I lost 30lb. Then in June, I went on holiday to France to see my Mom and Dad, I threw caution to the wind and I put on 7lb. Since I got back, I have struggled to keep on the straight and narrow and my weight has bounced up and…

When old insecurities rear their ugly heads….
I thought that the monsters in my head had been silenced for good. I thought that I was finally learning how to be happy with myself. How wrong I was. My monster’s had not disappeared, they had just crawled deep into the underground chasms of my mind, sleeping, waiting for he ideal opportunity to crawl out and feast on my…

Walks around the world.
I have been trying to think of fun challenges to help me get motivated to get off my bottom and start exercising frequently. I have come up with walking around the world. The basic idea is to choose a famous river, landmark or distance between two places from anywhere in the world and try to walk it in the quickest time…

Today I participated in Cancer Research UK's 10k Race for Life at Sutton Park, dressed head to toe in pink to raise money to kick cancers butt. 3 Years ago, I participated in the 5k event and came in at 1 hour 8 minutes and 17 seconds. So this year my aim was at most 2 hours 16 minutes but ideally 2 hours flat. I came in…
