Good morning to all. I always start out strong first thing. Feel empowered. I exercise 4, 5X's/wkly. In the morning of course. As the day rolls out however, my resolve rolls in. Later in day is when I see family and chit chat and of course there's always food. We love snacking and chatting. This is where the pattern needs to be interrupted. Not sure how I'm going to go about it just yet......2

Are people including alcohol as snacking? I managed to squeeze a small glass into my allowance but not sure if this should count against me?2 -

Darn it. 3 trader joes vanilla merenge cookies at 11pm. 68 cals.
At least it wasn't 6-8 pcs of chocolate for 300-400 cals.
I can do better.2 -

I'm would like to join because late night snacking is definitely an issue for me, especially seeing my husband snacking away at night. Would love some encouragement on how to avoid the urge to snack with him.3

My husband has the sweetest tooth on the planet and tries to bring home what he thinks I would like to have. I don't buy or bring any of it into the house! Cookies, ice cream, pies. Unreal. And yes of course, I fail sometimes. However, I've come a long way. He eats it in the living room and I remain in the kitchen cleaning up or looking into tomorrow's menu. If we agree on a movie that night, I'll join him without guilt.
I feel your pain and hope you'll steer clear most of the time. Just remember, what you resist, persists.
Try to relax and smile more at "pull of it all". Write down what it feels like to have that urge.2 -
