can i build muscle on a calorie deficit?
I've been doing keto for over six months and i've lost 26 pounds but I did not work out so even though i'm 117 pounds, I still have a lot of fat (I'm 5'4"). I am really good about eating the exact amount of macros that I need, but I'm [just now] starting to work out (walking/yoga/pilates/rock climbing is my plan). Right…

Higher weights, lower reps?
I think I know the answer to this, but I figured I would ask to make sure. I am doing pretty well with my workout routine, and have made some significant gains. However, there are some workouts that I continue to struggle with (mostly shoulders/laterals). My sets have been 3x12. Would it be okay to stick with that with…

Easiest and cheapest way to reach calorie goal
Is eating 8 tablespoons of peanut butter and drinking a 16oz glass of milk every night a good idea? It seems so stupidly easy and cheap to do. And it seems healthy too. The peanut butter I buy has 133 tablespoons in each jar and costs 8 dollars at costco.

Double overhand grip gave away during deadlifting
I'm doing stronglifts 5x5 and today was 1x5 deadlift day 200lbs. So during the 5th rep the grip gave out and the bar fell, probably due to sweat but I don't remember. I don't want to use mixed grip or straps just yet, I want to strengthen my grip. I'll see if my gym allows chalk or liquid chalk. I'll also definitely make…

Gain muscle while dropping body fat percentage ?
Hey, I'm curious as to if gaining muscle while dropping body fat percentage. I understand that to lose weight you want to be at a caloric deficit but In order to gain muscle you need to eat a lot. Why split up upper and lower body?
If you take a full body routine and throw a few isolation exercises in there isn't it just the same as an upper/lower routine done in one day? Do you need a "leg day" if you do high resistance elliptical?
I lift 2-3 times a week but I've been skipping "leg day" because I always do 30 minutes of high resistance running on an elliptical instead (almost daily). I don't use my arms much on it, so my legs get a really good burn/workout. Will this result in "skinny legs" but big upper body in the long run? My goal isn't to be…

How much gain
So I have been working on recomp over the last 13 weeks. Apparently I'm not doing things quite right as I have put on weight. I have gained about 2.6lbs over those 13 weeks.
