Gabbo, Good luck finding the right shoes. That can be a challenge. (Maybe Santa will bring you the perfect pair). Ha0

Still slowly ramping back up. The good news is I'm not in pain the next day. The bad news is every run seems like a chore. I hate the new shoes. So much so, I bought the pair that was my second choice at the running store to see if they were any better.

I rotate 11 pairs... some I love and can't retire even after 800+ miles... but all of them are great shoes. ... keep searching. .. it's easier to find a shoe that won't hurt you than a woman who wont...lol0 -

20/12 - 4.27km
Leg finally felt good enough to run! Only a short one, don't want go out too hard and bugger it up completely! And oh the humidity! It was so muggy
My calf started to make it presence felt towards the end of the run.....not pain, more a gentle pulling in the muscle......so will slowly build back up to the time/distance I was doing over a couple of weeks I think.
It was good to get back out there!!

Looks like everyone is making great progress!
I've got a long-ish run planned for Saturday morning, agility trial in the afternoon and off on Sunday. Going into my taper week before the half marathon after Christmas to wrap up the year!
Wow does that sound weird - almost 2015!

I came back from my run today (8km, one of my longest) and jumped straight in the pool. It was beautiful.

Forgot my 10k this morning was sponsored by the local cult, but at least I got to run through my neighborhood.
Today I got into a real thunderstorm, with thunder and everything. The first flash of lightning startled me enough that I put my left shoe in a deep puddle of mud (completely soaking it, of course), and made me decide that maybe the nice park with all the old trees was not the best place to be. So I had to turn around after 5k and head back on boring, tree-less concrete streets...

5 miles today. It didn't go super but I have been feeling under the weather for most of the week so I am just glad that I was able to make it through it. I have done a half marathon before using run/walk intervals but I have never run 5 miles straight before.
