    Dec 5 - rest day

    Dec 8 - Long work day/ rest day
    Dec 9 - 6.5k run
    Dec 10 - Crazy rain storm = rest day for me.
    Dec 11 - 6k run in beautiful 12 degree weather for December. Felt more like spring than winter.
    Dec 12- Rest day
    Dec 13 - 5k run ( time was 26:54, not my fastest but one of them :smile: )
    Dec 14 - 5k run ( even better time than the day before 26:25)
    Dec 15 - 8k walk with the dog
    Dec 16 - 5k run
    Dec 17 - rest day
    Dec 18 - 5.6k hike with the dog
    Dec 19 - 1 hour of swimming laps
    Dec 20 - 5.5k walk with the dog
    Dec 21 - 6k run
    Dec 22- Crazy work day
    Dec 23- Also another crazy work day
    Dec 24- Followed by yet another crazy work day
    Dec 25- 5k Christmas run! Merry Christmas to all you runners out there. And keep up the good work! :smile:
    Dec 26- 5.6k walk with the dog
    Dec 27- 4k walk
    Dec 28- 5k walk
    Dec 29- 5k run

    Total for the month 56k. My goal this month is 60k. So that leaves me only 4k.

    LoneWolfrunner: 2000 miles is an awesome goal for 2015. You and fabnine have inspired me to set myself a goal for 2015 so I'm going to start with 1000 miles.
    4 miles today, 44 miles complete, 26 to do.

    (That was a low-volume week.)

    12/11: 3.75 miles (6.04 km) @ 7:49/mi. 17.51 miles for the month. 32.49 remaining for my goal.
    12/13: 5.75 miles (9.25 km) @ 8:03/mi. 23.26 miles for the month. 26.74 remaining for my goal.

    12/16: 3.75 miles (6.04 km) @ 7:55/mi. 27.01 miles for the month. 22.99 remaining for my goal.

    12/21: 6.51 miles (10.48 km) @ 8:07/mi. 37.28 miles for the month. 12.72 remaining for my goal.

    12/23: 3.25 miles (5.23 km) @ 7:53/mi. 40.53 miles for the month. 9.47 remaining for my goal.
    12/25: 4.00 miles (6.44 km) @ 8:25/mi. 44.53 miles for the month. 5.47 remaining for my goal. I ran part of this run with my sister-in-law.
    12/27: 6.41 miles (10.32 km) @ 10:43/mi. 50.94 miles for the month. 0.94 over goal! This run was with my SIL.
    12/29: 4.51 miles (6.68 km) @ 7:25/mi. 55.45 miles for the month. 5.45 over goal!

    Today, after warming up, I ran my fastest 5K distance in at least 17 years, possibly ever: 22:34.4. Based on that, I'm going to train for a 22:20 pace in the 5K I'll be doing on April 11.

    Congratulations to everyone who met their goal this month, and to everyone who did as well as they could making progress toward it! That includes taking time off to recover; your long-term health is more important than a monthly number.

    We are off to AZ in the morning for the Fiesta Bowl to watch my hometown team play (go Broncos!)! Going to try to get a final run in at the hotel on the treadmill to wrap up the year!
