Sounds like a bear? You might wish for a bear, Calvin... it's something much worse...
Evidently Calvin doesn't realize both bears and mothers can climb if they must...
No damage but the cost of a towtruck... hmmm...
Perhaps Calvin's parents realize when Calvin gets older and earns a driver's licence, things will be worse?2 -

Today's strip was me yesterday... It was a nice day outside but I felt wiped from traveling the day before so I drank coffee and ate comfort food. As I was going to bed, I commented on how lazy of a day I had... and my son reminded me that I cleaned the kitchen top to bottom etc... sigh...0

My son isn't very good at cooking or cleaning despite my efforts at teaching him. It was only a week so he could only do so much damage. Little things like how he rinsed food off of the dishes before putting them into the dishwasher... leaving the debris in the sink where it dried & hardened...Today's strip was me yesterday... It was a nice day outside but I felt wiped from traveling the day before so I drank coffee and ate comfort food. Since I wanted to cook for myself and the kitchen was kind of gross, I sorted things out... scoured the sinks, soaked 'em with bleach, etc...1 -
To his credit, the plan could work if you believed aliens were waiting & watching...0

Bill Watterson felt constrained by the conventions of daily cartoon strips... even the larger weekend edition... Yesterday's strip was an example of him pushing back against the machine. Today's as well but in a different way.0

I'm not OCD by any stretch but when you share a house with kids & fur babies, a certain amount of effort is justified unless you like finding hair and/or Lego pieces out of your food.
